Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great under sink water filtration system. This Universal Dual Stage Under Sink Water Filtration ... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great under sink water filtration system. This Universal Dual Stage Under Sink Water Filtration System by PUR is engineered for great performance. The two filter cartridges remove particles, chlorine odor, lead and so much more. The cartridges could not be easier to replace when needed and are easily available at The Home Depot. The design is to install a Tee valve on your cold-water line to your faucet. By installing the water faucet that comes with it, you have a separate faucet for the filtered water for cooking and drinking. The installation instructions are clear, and the process is simple, providing you have the extra hole for the extra faucet and the fittings match. If they do not match, you will need to do a little plumbing work to install.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can not find anything that is not super with this system. We have to have filtration and have gone through several systems. This was by far the easiest to install, the filters rotate in with a quarter turn and have a lock, the tubing fittings worked well and were a snap, slipped into the fittings perfectly. The best part is the 1/2" tee for supply water, much better than the previous systems fittings. Usually we have gotten fitting that go directly on the cold water faucet supply pipe. To date these have been angle stop add-a-tee valves, 3/8" compression inlet by 3/8" compression outlet that eventually leak at the swivel. This supplied tee is a 1/2' inlet and outlet pipe thread with a quarter turn valve shown open and closed in the photos, a much more robust system. Water taste was as expected, excellent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great basic and easy to install dual-stage water filter for under your sink, particularly if you are on public water where chlorine and rust are present and where lead and cysts can be. It gets rid of that large water filter pitcher in your fridge or the need to buy bottled water. The filter comes with a basic beverage fountain/faucet and all the parts you need for installation. It took me 30 minutes to install this on my sink and it does take up much room (I installed it behind the disposal). If you've ever installed a faucet, you can install this system. It uses two filters, one for small particles and a carbon block filter. All in all, it will filter out most rust, lead, cysts, chlorine (taste) and larger particles in the water. Replacing the filters is fairly easy but you have to replace them with the PUR quick connect system; this system does not take different brand candle filters like similar undersink systems. The beverage faucet is very basic and the neck does swivel. Installation (pictured) and directions are fairly simple, just use or install a hole somewhere between 5/8” and 1-1/4” wide on your sink or countertop to install the faucet. I installed mine on a steel sink and drilled a 1/2” hole and widened it slightly to 5/8” by swirling the bit around. From there you install a valve (pictured) on the cold supply to your sink. The installation kit comes with 6 feet of 1/4" tubing which was more than enough for my installation. Connecting the tubing between the water supply, filters and valves requires two easy compression fittings and two simple slip fittings. Filters need to be replaced every 6 months to a year and are part# PQC2FSKIT. If you lack room under the sink and need to install the filters in the basement below or another cabinet and need more tube, the tube specs are 1/4" O.D., 0.142" I.D. and is rated for 120 PSI@70F/60 PSI@150F. This water filtration system is made in China.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install under sink water filtration system. The system comes with quick-connect lines that make it relatively easy and fast to install. The cartridge holder is held by 2 small screws that are included. It comes with a sufficient amount of water line tubing. The only issue was the size of the inlet water valve that attaches to my water line. Mine required a smaller diameter and no reducers come with kit – see photo. The cartridges are very easy to change with a simple twist and are color coded. It is recommended to change the filters every 6 months. The counter water faucet itself was of average quality. Attached below is the performance date sheet on the system capabilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] PUR water filters work great, they remove sediment like rust and iron and clean the water for drinking. This filter system comes with most everything you'll need to install it. My kitchen has a 3/8 inch water line and the kit comes with a half inch inline splitter. I had to go to the local hardware and buy two reducers to make this work. The installation was very easy and the water that comes thru the filter taste great. I have well water and the taste has never been good however, This PUR filter system has replaced going to the store and buying water every week. If you have well water, I would highly recommend this filter kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great filter, but the included valve will not work for a lot of people. I included a youtube video below to show you how to install this filter and how I overcame a valve from Pur that will not work if you have a 3/8" water connections under your sink like most people do. Explanation below. The filter was easy to install and looks nice. I love the quick connect system for changing out the filter easily and the faucet looks nice next to our normal faucet. I picked the two stage system to help filter our water, but to not take up to much space under our sink. The one issue (mentioned above) is the filter comes with a valve connector, but this did not work for me and will not work for most people. The valve is 1/2 inch size to 1/2 inch and the instructions tell you to disconnect your water line, install the valve and then reconnect the water line to the top of the valve. In my home, and many homes, the copper line is 1/2 inch, but the line to the faucet it 3/8 inch so the included valve would not work. Because of this I had to purchase three different parts to create my own connection without a valve to individually shut off the filter. My water lines connect directly into the faucet so I couldn't even replace that line to make it work. If you want to see my solution and what I am talking about, watch the youtube video and you can see my pictures below.

Do I have to use the faucet provided or can I use an existing faucet that I have in place with 1/4" plastic piping?
Asked by: ce49
That is certainly possible. It depends on how easy it is to replace the tube going into your existing faucet. The compression fitting may be inside the faucet and difficult to remove
