Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for building projects I used this plywood to build a set of laundry cupboards. For the most part it worked very well. I had to be careful when shopping to avoid sheets that were warped.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from poor quality Voids all over the place cut badly even with an 80 point blade, tear out on the bach, which loses a complete ply. Will not take a routered edge and is difficult to sand. Much like the other plywood, I bought for this project, poor quality. Shop elsewhere for your plywood. There is better stuff than this out there, I will not be buying again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Badly warped I bought more expensive plywood hoping that it would be close to flat. Spoiler: it isn't. It has about a 1/2" bow for every two feet of material and is unusable for my purposes. For $70+ I would expect to get something that is close to flat. Would not recommend buying wood from Home Depot until you're able to access the store to choose your own pieces because the employees do not seem to care.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from JUNK I purchased this 3/4" maple plywood on Sept 13/2017 from the Barrie store. I found it to be full of voids and the glue used to make the plywood is sub-standard. When a good quality primer was applied to the plywood the veneer separated and bubbled. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Très beau produit Je l'ai installé comme revêtement de plancher au sous-sol.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Twist and shout! I had to pick through several pieces of maple in order to find a two pieces that we’re workable. Some of them are so twisted and cupped that the only use for them would be for fire wood.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Crappy Veneer, the veneer is so thin that you can see the next layer and it peels off when ripping it. It also bubbles when staining an finishing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy Very happy with the quality of these sheets. I was expecting some troubles, given the other reviews, but they cut, mitered, and routered well. I used an 80 tooth blade and had almost zero tear-out after cutting half a dozen sheets. I didn’t experience any bonding issues. Sheets seem to take a stain/oil nicely as well.

Hey, I am making a nightstand for in metalwork, and I need a good sturdy top. so I have a few questions. Are the outer layers thick enough to sand down about a 1/16 of an inch, will it scratch ad gouge easily, and can it be stained.

Asked by: A Nobody
You can stain or paint the maple veneer plywood. if you stain, lightly sand the finish. All wood will scratch or gouge depending on what you subject the surface to. I would not suggest heavy sanding to substantially reduce the thickness of the veneer. If you do, check the original thickness so you don't sand through the layer.

What is the exact thickness in millimeters?

Asked by: Peter K
It is about 17.5 mm thick. Wood will shrink and swell based on moisture content so it is impossible to give exact measurements. .

Hi, can I use this for shelving? Thinking of cutting 16x32 pieces for my laundry closet and support with 12” long brackets

Asked by: Anjni
It would work well for the application. The panel is intended for cabinets, built-ins, shelving, etc.

Hi, how are the veneer's wood lines oriented? The lines are parallel to the 4ft or to the 8ft side? I cannot find an image of the whole product

Asked by: jeannej
The grain of the veneer is aligned to the length (i.e. 8 ft) of the plywood.

What are the core layers for this plywood made from? The equivalent product on the US website states that it's poplar, but I can't find that confirmation anywhere on the Canadian product (my location is Calgary AB in case it's area specific).

Asked by: John
Hello John, The core material used to produce the maple plywood is Aspen.

Can I use this as the top layer of a sprung floor, with 3”x3” 3/4”-thick foam blocks (each block is spaced a foot apart from each other) clued underneath? Is this plywood load-bearing and non-laminated? I’m looking to build a 4’x8’ floating dance floor.

Asked by: Sy123
We do not recommend our plywood for flooring or structural applications. It is meant for decorative use only. Thank you -- Michael

Could this be used as a workbench top

Asked by: Brad
Definitely. It’s much more smooth than oak or spruce and much more durable. Also takes a very extremely well.

So thinking about purchasing this for a subwoofer enclosure. Would have to be double baffled all around as these speakers are heavy and will be moving a lot of air. Will this product be a good choice for this?

Asked by: bassnuts
The Maple plywood Home Depot offers is excellent quality. Nice and hard and very dimensionally stable. Would be a good choice for this type of project
