We actually used them inside. The Pylex team was also great to work with. I had a question on what combination of stringers I needed. They replied quickly and answered all I was looking for. Their web site has the spec sheet and install instructions that helped us make our decision. Couple of tips: - see their recommendation to get the number of stringers you need. You can’t just pick your own. - listing is for 1 stringer. Depending on your width, will dictate how many you need - we bought pre-made treads and cut length to size. This works nicely since we were keeping these interior.

Could have been done with holes drilled in different locations. Otherwise it is a well designed system and this problem has a simple workaround. Just wish I would have known about the alignment problem before installing. I connected a seven stair stringer with a 5 stair stringer

If I did it again, I would do 1 set of 6 and 1 set of 4 just because the way my land lies. We were replacing and existing staircase and the rails were left in place. It made it so we had to install in place rather than construct and then install. The only reason I didn't give more stars, is that there is no clearance for any electrical drills for screws/bolts installation, making the "handwork" more work. But they are beautiful!! and so sturdy!!.

Can a 7-step and a 4-step stringer be connected for at total of 11 steps? I want the connector post to be at 41" from bottom landing. The connector chart indicates to get 11 steps you connect a 6 step and 5 step which places the connector/ post 61" from the landing. I just want to make sure putting the connection between the 7step/4 step will be structurally sound.
Asked by: BZ
Hello Sir, We do recommand to use 6 and 5 steps as the look of the staircase will be nicer ( beam width) however an 7 steps and 4 steps would also work ( but we do not recommand it). Anything else, please let us know. Thanks
