Not sure about this specifically but we did get some when we did the siding on our house that acted as weather/water sealer or vapor barrier. Do not remember the name but you could possibly call your local store or go In To talk to them.

how much do i need for a 20' by 40' room ?
Asked by: amount needed
The underlayment I purchased was 3' wide x 75' long. If you bought the same size underlayment, you would have 6 seams @ 40' long as well as 6 cross seams @ 3'. For this you would need to purchase about three 100 ft rolls, leaving you half a roll leftover.

I would not use it as painters tape. It may rip the paint off of your baseboards.

can this be used to tape vapor barrier together?

Asked by: DaMartin
A vapor barrier will typically be constructed of a 6 mil poly film. This tape is constructed with PVC and should perform in an interior application. However, if you are installing a vapor barrier under flooring -You may want to consider Roberts 70-115 Moisture Barricade (with pre attached tape) or 70-198 Silicon paper to be used with 4" over lay or tape such as Roberts Seam Guard.

Differences between underlayment tape and duct tape?

Can I use duct tape instead, If moisture is not an issue.
Asked by: dz
duct tape has far more adhesive glue on it, so once you lay it on, it cannot be easily re-positioned. underlayment tape is a thinner material with less adhesive for easier positioning
