Read reviews on Quiet Walk , it was my choice. Along with the plank I chose having padding and Quiet Walk. I'm walking on a cloud, great.

I have used this in my upstairs bedrooms, which are small and so by purchasing the large roll, I only had to lay 2 pieces of this down with a little trimming. It doesn't get much easier than that. I am using it for laminate flooring. Just follow the directions on the roll. It's nice quality and I can say is much more sound dampening than the wall to wall carpet that was installed when this house was built. It is very easy to work with and lay down. I love the peel and stick closure and all the other good stuff; made in USA, eco friendly, no voc's, etc and that made it an attractive choice for me plus I had used QuietWalk brand in my master bedroom and absolutely loved it. So I am a repeat buyer. Highly Recommend!

Works great this is highly needed if you are installing lvp on concrete floors even if they have underlayment attached already. The small dips and unevenness in the floor are removed by installing quiet walk. I can confirm a 1 degree difference in floor temps with this underlayment. I do like the included over laping flap with adhesive. What i dont like it says water proof well yes the top plastic is but the bottom is a fiber and if water ever gets under then it will act like a sponge and hold the water. In most cases water leaks happen along walls via pipe or foundation cracks this is the perfect path for water to get under the underlayment. I did place some in water and it absorbs so a coating of some sort to repel water would have been a nice thing. For the price this is the best thing going.

There was a noticeable difference when walking on a board with bare sub floor underneath compared to this material. Quieter. I’d recommend it if you don’t mind the extra work installing it. Must do the entire floor though.

Other products I used went the other way, plastic side down. I have cement base. I love the feel of the vynil floor, when walking on it. No slaps.

However it is rolled the opposite so that when you roll it out the padded side is up. Why would they do this? You have to roll it out, cut it off, and then flip it over. Kind of poor planning.

I am looking at finishing my garage in house that was built in 1965 without a moisture barrier under the concret slab. Can this be used on top of the slab as a vapor/moisture barrier with vinyl plank flooring ?

I used Quiet Walk in 3 inside rooms over a concrete slab with a vapor barrier. It has over a year and I have had no problems of any kind. As it states in it's advertising, Quiet Walk has a built in vapor barrier.

Will this work as a moisture barrier over a wood subfloor?

Yes! Let me add that this is great underlayment. I have it on my second floor bedrooms under 12mm laminate and it is such a difference (use to be carpeted). So happy with this and people in the neighborhood even ask why they don't hear upstairs noises as much as in their house!

Can this be used under 12mm thick laminate floor in basement on concrete and normal floors? I know there is a laminate floor product in this size but alot more expensive

Can it be used over dricore flooring and under the Allure contact vinyl flooring? Would it help with reducing noise? It's going to be in the basement

I’m not a flooring expert, but don’t know why you would use this over dricore flooring unless you want an added layer of moisture protection . I used it on a previously tiled , level concrete floor

That is not an approved application and we have never tested our products being used underneath a layer of the subfloor.
