A gentle electric radiant heat system designed specifically for dry installation under floating wood and laminate floors. A low profile, line voltage system, it features gradual warmth from low wattage resistance heating of ultra-thin, flexible radiant heat film. Installed easily over a subfloor or over an acoustic/insulating underlayment as part of the overall floor assembly, it uses just 12-Watt per square foot to gently raise the temperature of the floor, conforming to the warranty requirements of many floating floors. The system, which sports an impressive 99% efficiency, includes temperature limiting properties so the film does not overheat. Its available in four convenient rollout mat sizes that will accommodate most any layout. Each mat has wires pre-attached for ease of installation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the 1.5 ft. x 60 in. x 0.016 in. 120-Volt Radiant Heat Film for Click-Together Floors installed during our recent bathroom remodel. We placed it in front of the vanity to provide comfort while getting dressed. It was installed by our contractor to insure proper installation. It is undetectable under the flooring until you feel the gentle warmth radiating up from the floor. It's a real treat on those chilly mornings. Ours is operated on a timer switch so we don't forget to turn it off when we are done using it. I can't wait to see how it will warm things up when it's below zero outside!

This radiant heat product is hands down the easiest to work with, install and wire up to their thermostat. We've now changed all our flooring out to click floating vinyl and in bathrooms have installed the Quiet Warmth radiant heat film. Their thermostats are easy to program and overall their radiant heat is energy saving. It's no longer a luxury to walk onto warmed floors in the morning or getting out of the shower or middle of the night bathroom visits. Even if you currently have floating floors and you can take up a few boards, you can easily slip the radiant film under the floor, lay the sensor under the flooring and connect the lead wires to the thermostat. No one of the floor installs has failed. We're a QuietWarmth customer for life!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my first radiant heat film purchase. This product will heat your floor but there is not enough power to heat a room. It requires a controller with a thermostat to operate. Be careful and do not nail into this product. It is very thin and does not disrupt the smoothness of the floor overlayment. I do recommend that a thin underlayment be placed beside it for leveling purposes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried keeping my wood floors warm in the winter by insulating under my wood floors due my house is on pier and beam and I can crawl under and put insulation between the rafters but when it gets really cold the floors still get cold and while the insulation helps ,I have been starting to install radiant heat film under my floor ,even though this film is for under click together floors , it works well for what I am using it floor . Very even heat throughout .

I can hardly feel the warmth through the rug with my feet. But Fido does. It's is very thin. The lead wires are thicker. I can feel those but not the pad itself. Current draw is about 0.5 A, 60W. I control it using a smart switch.

I have access below from the basement so the installation was pretty easy and straight forward. Others have mentioned that this is less for heating the room and more for keeping the floor warm to the touch. You will need a thermostat to install this product.

After a few minutes the film layout was simple and the install was completed in under 2-hours. I will purchase this product for install in the outdoor tiny office next on the build list.

Hi, you can cut these mats through the center of any of the black stripes to shorten the mat but you can not cut perpendicularly to the stripes to make the mat narrower.

Can I put this directly onto plywood subfloor? What type of underlay is suitable for this product? Will it be hot enough to heat through LVP that is 1/4 inch thick?

While an underlayment is recommended, it is not required when installing over a wood substrate. If an underlayment is going to be used, we always suggest using one of our QuietWalk products. The QuietWarmth system is more than capable of heating an LVP of almost any thickness.

Hi, If you are going wall to wall coverage it is save to figure 75% of total sq ft will be covered in heat with all the proper clearances from the wall and fixtures. 16x10 = 640 sqft. 75% of that is 480 sqft of covered area with heat. How are you wiring this, for 120v or 240v? On 120v, 1 thermostat will cover 150sqft on 240v, 1 thermostat will cover 300 sqft Add a power module or two which is a relay thermostat to expand the area. 888-379-9695 for any further questions.
