Overview

Model # QWARM3X5F240 Store SKU # 1001611793

A gentle electric radiant heat system designed specifically for dry installation under floating wood and laminate floors. A low profile, line voltage system, it features gradual warmth from low wattage resistance heating of ultra-thin, flexible radiant heat film. Installed easily over a subfloor or over an acoustic/insulating underlayment as part of the overall floor assembly, it uses just 12-Watt per square foot to gently raise the temperature of the floor, conforming to the warranty requirements of many floating floors. The system, which sports an impressive 99% efficiency, includes temperature limiting properties so the film does not overheat. Its available in four convenient rollout mat sizes that will accommodate most any layout. Each mat has wires pre-attached for ease of installation.

  1. Use with most floating laminate, engineered wood and floating tile floors
  1. Easy to install: roll out, cut length to fit if needed and run pre-attached wires to a wall thermostat
  1. Maintenance free, crafted to not completely shut down if the system should ever become compromised or damaged
  1. Will not add extra height to the floor, only 0.016 in. thick
  1. Disperses an evenly consistent heat throughout the entire floor
  1. Adjust temperature with quiet warmth thermostat (sold separately)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install Good price for the coverage and so far after using over the winter it has performed well. I installed in the bathroom and used a standard baseboard thermostat without any floor sensors. I just used the thermostat as an on/off switch basically. The suggested thermostat for it is too expensive.

Can the heating system go directly on top of a subfloor product such as dricore insul-armor or dmx 1-step? So, it would be concrete basement floor, plastic or foam subfloor, then heating, then lux vinyl tile (at least 5mm thick)?

Asked by: Max8
You need to use the underlay that is recommended with with the flooring regardless of what the sub floor is. The heated pad is not completely flat with the wiring and termination ends on the corner. You cannot use vinyl , only engineered hardwood. I would like to comment more but have not more space

Do I have to use a quiet warm thermostat with this mat? I purchased another company’s thermostat because it was in stock at the store and when everything is connected nothing works. I tried a new thermostat and still nothing.

Asked by: Not as advertised
Hello, a Quietwarmth branded thermostat is not required. What is required is a Thermostat that is approved for an in floor heat system, standard whole home thermostats will not work.

How do you hook up QuietWarmth without a thermostat? Can you install a plug onto the wires and then plug it into an outlet?

Asked by: tomlee
Thank you for reaching out. To meet electrical code, radiant heat systems must be on a dedicated circuit. Wiring to an outlet doesn't meet that code. Using a thermostat is the best and safest way to install our radiant heat system.
