Rated 5 out of 5 by from Concrete for crafting The price is awesome and that’s why I purchased to be honest. I’m using this to make concrete crafts so I need to sift out all the gravel and there’s a lot … about 1/3 gravel. Mixed with shredded news paper white glue and water I turn the mix into clay and mold away

How many bags of concrete would I need to build a 3' X 6' x 6" pad

Asked by: Anonymous
Both wrong, actually, each bag covers around 0.5 cu ft. So the volume of a 3'x6'x6" pad is 9 cu ft. Divide that by the coverage volume/bag to get the number of bags you need. So (9 cu.ft.) / (0.5 cu.ft. per bag) = 18 bags. Maybe another bag to account for shrinkage, I think the calculator at quickrete takes a 10% shrinkage factor which of course gives you 20, but if you went by the coverage on a bag then you would need no less than 18 as I calculated.

What color is this product? Can this be used to make smaller objects like pots and planters?

Asked by: Vina
It dries to a light grey finish. Smaller objects? Not really, but it depends on the design of your planters. It does have some aggregate in the mix, so those could be seen in your finished product.
