How easy to remove after the concrete has set? Much prefer the look of smooth concrete over the look of the tube, as this will be a birdbath pedestal..

A straight-edged blade is all that is necessary to begin unraveling the building form. QUIKRETE QUIK-Tubes are designed to be unraveled similar to a biscuit tin.

Description used to include mention that form will biodegrade over time. I'm assuming that is still the case, and there is no need to remove form after concrete form as cured?

The ones I have installed on my privacy fence have already started to fade and weather away. At least the exposed parts have. So no, you don't have to remove them unless they are unsightly and sheltered from weather.

What size tube is recommended for a 6"6" post?
Asked by: Fred
QUIKRETE recommends the tube diameter to be 3x the post diameter; in your case, we would recommend an 18" QUIK-Tube Building Form. QUIK-Tubes of this size are only available regionally; Please check with the Pro Desk at your local The Home Depot store to see if they are available in your area.

QUIKRETE® Building Tubes are coated with wax for utility, so they shouldn’t be recycled with household cardboard.

How many bags of cement?

I'm building a fence and was wonder how many bags of cement I will need to fill this tube. I'm only going down 4 feet and using a 4x4 post.
Asked by: Anonymous
Nearly 3 full bags. One bag of cement yields 0.5 cubic feet. The form holds 1.4 cubic feet.
