Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Install Installed it in our laundry room and it looks great. Material was really easy to cut on a mitre and table saw. Panels and the corner pieces worked perfectly around a 2×4 wall which made it even easier to install. The filler stick was perfectly matched and blended in easily. Tip: We cut the wainscoting while it was still bundled in plastic wrap, divided them up into 3. Cut all the panels from a box in 4 cuts. We also used "No Nails" construction adhesive and the odd brad nail to keep panels plumb. Using silicone along the channel on the base boards finished the install of nicely and stops debris from filling the gap.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great /Everything included/some issues. The kit is okay - comes with everything you need to do a 36" high by 8' long section. The panels come in 96" strips ( I cut into 3 x 32"). My only complaint is that they're plastic - very messy for cutting, and if you use a nail gun for installation (I used both gun and adhesive), there's a higher chance of them cracking/chipping. Overall though they look good once installed and you never have to worry about rot / insects (if that's an issue). Static charge buildup is also something I noticed when wiping them down/dusting-I have dogs so any stray hair tends to cling to the panels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No painting!!! Finished off a bathroom reno with this. Cuts just like pine, & after research used PL Premium to attach it to the walls & Super glue to glue it to itself. The 8ft lengths vary in length by 1/4", many being less than 8' from the 6 packs I had. The inside corner (cove) is too thick the end sticks out beyond the chair rail & is visible, unless I am using it wrong. But overall with neat cuts you can make a professional finish.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks beautiful - "no nails" adhesive did not work We used this kit to cover the tile surrounding our built-in-tub and the end result was really nice. However, the manufacturer suggested to use Lepages "No More Nails" adhesive and it did not work at all, despite sanding and prepping. We ended up using an adhesive used to glue down vinyl flooring. Note this product is made in Canada and it is PVC, not a wood product.

Only wish it was white all the way through the material so you could do butt ends at open ends without seeing the yellow backing. You have to 45 ends and cut a very small piece to return at ends .

Would it be safe to use this product for a gas fireplace surround?

Not sure. I have no experience with gas fireplace.It's manufactured wood bi-product so, I assume it's flammable. No different than surrounding gas fireplace with wood panelling.

It's plastic, and the white is not fauxwood, it's smooth white, does not need painting. Great product for wet areas (bathrooms or behind my saltwater tank!) looks great, installs easy with glue and very durable and easy to clean.

If I wanted to paint this product, could I? If so, what kind of paint would you recommend?

It’s made of a vinyl/plastic type material. I think if you wanted to paint it, you would have to do it similar to painting vinyl siding. It’s not necessarily recommended but is doable and time consuming in the prep. Not sure the type of paint as I think regular house paint may just slide right off..

I need to cover 400 square ft, and I’m confused by how it’s sold. Does one package cover 8 ft by 36” tall? I had planned on going 48” high how long are the lengths?

Hi, Thank you for your question. The Vendor have confirmed that each plank of bead board is 8ft long, each kit has 8 planks which covers 20.5 sq ft You will need 20 packs to cover your 400sq ft
