Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great system. I have installed this emitter tubing throughout all of my gardens. It is a wonderful relief to know that my gardens can be easily and efficiently watered without taxing my time or my well. Fairly easily installed by an old lady with cane. In photo, front garden is mulched over tubing; back garden needs more plants then mulch.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Emitters too far apart The tubing is easy to work with and attach to the tees and elbows but the emitters are 18 inches apart which is too far unless you run several tubes close together. We ended up adding other drip heads.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well if installing in straight line Great if you’re running it in a straight line. Had to replace old soaker hose in hedges and optimally wanted to weave the emitter tubing thru the base of the cedars. Huge pain, had to un-kink in multiple locations and even cut and couple in a few as well. Works well just a pain to install.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Irrigation Tubing The 12" spacing would have been better than the 18". We had one hole malfunction but just plugged it up. The puncturing tool is essential for installing lateral lines.

According to the rainbird website, there is tubing that has emitters every 12" apart, but I cannot find it. Can I add emitters to this tube in between the emitters that are already in the tube (e.g. so they are every 9")?

Asked by: Paprika
I have never found 12" tubing either except in the 1/4" tubing. While you can add emitters in between, it is not necessary to a landscape garden because most landscape plants are spaced 18 inches apart or more. With landscape gardens, I only add extra emitters specifically for plants that require more water like hydrangeas. For vegetables, you should use the 1/4" tubing which can be run off of the 1/2" tubing for short runs, or run off of the 1/2" black distribution tubing for your dedicated vegetable garden water supply..

what is the max pressure this line will work with and how long of run can you do with it ie200'

Asked by: Ron C
I believe the max pressure is about 75psi. I am running at that pressure with no problems. I have over 300ft in one run and we have water at every hole.

How do you plug unused emitters? I've tried standard 1/4 goof plugs and they won't fit into the emitter holes

Asked by: Evan
I use the double loop fittings and just bend over the end of the tubing.

Is there a specific length that can be used, that is, can we attach two 100' hoses together and expect the water to reach the end of that 200'? thank you

Asked by: Valeria
Depends. You can easily purchase attachments to connect a 100' hose to another but you should be aware that the most of second 100' hose may be dry because of decreased water pressure (there are holes in the hose). You may be best to use two water sources and two 100' hoses.
