I have been looking for a product to serve as a rain diverter above our slider where there is no gutter. I used this product installing it upside down under the drip edge to serve as a channel to divert the water. It worked better that expected and I recommend that the manufacturer suggest installing it either way.

The roof was slightly lower than a standard door so we had to cut into the outer board to make the door fit properly. So I had to remove part of my old gutter. I purchased this and I added it using it as a gutter to feed into the larger gutter. It works perfectly. I would have been tickled pink if it had of been a 4 inch wide instead of 2 inch but the 2 inch works fine.

Home depot doesn't tell you that is an option. Now that it has rained pretty good and showed me what the 2 inch can handle I have to take it all off and repurchase the wider strips.

Will this product divert water away from a door threshold?

Are the screws also aluminum?

Yes. Careful when installing, they are soft and will strip easily when using Philips driver. You can also use 6 point driver.
