The Chateau Electric Fireplace features the clean lines and classic styling familiar to stone mantels, realized in wood. In three great finishes, this fireplace is a stunning addition to any room. The VividFlame Electric Firebox mimics the look of a real fire, but does not require a chimney or vents and plugs into a standard outlet for convenient set up. Features include infrared LED technology, sleek touch controls and dynamic glowing embers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and wonderful The color is perfect. We were debating between this and the white and glad we got this color, it matches any wood items we have in the house. The fireplace is great, the flames and logs look real and it really creates the feeling of a fireplace. It has made the living room that much more cozy. The heater warms up the room and you can have the option of having that on or off. There is a timer, and an option to have a light on as well. I was on the fence about this fireplace but having it now in the house it is totally worth it. Super easy to set up and even more easy to enjoy.

I like that you can change the level of heat it throws off with a remote. It squeaks a bit which is the reason I didn't rate it higher. I got an error message and called Real Flame to ask what to do. They immediately shipped me a new unit so customer service is great. Relatively easy to assemble. I haven't gotten around to putting the new unit in. Maybe the squeaks will be better. It's in my office and sure beats the look of a little electric floor heater.

Assembled in one and half hour (1 person) Not making noise except when heating, but not a big deal. Absolutely gorgeous flame, real flame. I Suggest to turn on air filter by this product or open windows, cause product has WARNING PROP 65.

The size fit perfectly and helped turn one end of our long kitchen area into a cozy family room! It was easy to assemble, arrived in perfect condition, the fan runs quietly, and I can't believe how realistic it looks! We added a battery operated burning fireplace sound to make it seem even more real. It can really heat up a room, so we keep it set low at about 71 degrees. The entire front of the fireplace stays cool, so no need to worry about the baby getting burned or anything sitting too close to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, works great!! We ordered this online before the holidays, and it arrived quickly. It took my husband (who is very handy) about an hour or so to put together. We plugged it right in and started using it!! I like the timer and the different brightness settings. The only negative thing I have to say is because when it arrived, the top mantle piece had a crack in it that was about an inch square and it was also missing the remote. However, the customer service at home depot and the company that makes the fireplace were very responsive and sent me replacement pieces very quicklty. I would definitely recommend!!

I ordered this piece as a focal point to a newly remodeled sunroom. I was really concerned with how the "fire" and logs would look and spent a great amount of time looking at reviews for every fireplace I could find. I wanted to avoid something that appeared cheap, and I couldn't be happier with the Real Flame Chateau! The logs/flames appear truly natural, and the piece as a whole has a crisp, sophisticated look which was perfect for my 8x17 room. Although I don't use the heating portion on a regular basis, it does offer a quick warm up to the area when needed, isn't noisy, and again is perfect for the space I selected it for. I assembled the product myself quickly and without any difficulty. I purchased this one year ago and therefore feel confident in writing this review and recommending to others.

The fan is a little loud, the beeping for each function is a bit loud in a quiet house, no way to make it silent. It was easy to assemble myself, excellent directions. One part came cracked and the company said they would send a replacement part (mantle top) immediately. Be sure you have the part (left and right sides) with the pre-drilled holes correct, as the screws are weak and the heads easily stripped. So happy to finally have a "fireplace" in my bedroom. It would work well in any room.

Easy to insert flame box. I love the lighting techniques and how real the flames look there are five different variations to choose from both lighting and flames you can mix it up. Plus, I found if you set the temp at the lowest setting 71,(can go to 99), it will auto shut off when gets to that temp, then will come back on automatically when temp gets lower than 71, infrared unit. This fireplace is well worth the money. Love the dark walnut color too matches my bedroom suite. I am so happy with this purchase.

Does it make any noise while operating just the flame (no heat) or is 100 quiet?

I saw some of the electric fireplaces that make a noise like while operating the flame only with no heat function. Is like a small electric motor that needs some oil. Not a pleasent noise, a bit annoying even though if it was at a very low volume. Thanks,

What are the capabilities of the timer?

I would really like to be able to "ignite" the fire and chase away the arctic chill before we come home. Does the timer offer an option such as this?

The timer requires being manually turned on, in person. You have the option to select to run for 1, 2, 3 hours, etc..
