The features include remote control, programmable thermostat, timer function, brightness settings and ultra-bright Vivid Flame LED technology. Available in Chestnut Oak and White finishes. For safety, this unit must be anchored to a wall using the included hardware. The Vivid Flame Electric Firebox plugs into any standard outlet for convenient set up.

The output is good and warms up the room quickly. Has a nice finish but does mar easily. Fireplace should not be placed on carpet because it tilts to the back too much. Product should come with some type of leveler for those with carpet and not a hard floor. It is good for a bedroom or room that is not easily visible as its size is not sufficient for a main area. I placed it between 2 windows which is why I ordered the 48" size. However the depth is just not substantial enough. Nor should it be placed at a side view when entering the room, head-on would be more appealing.

The fireplace took around an hour and a half to assemble -- there were a lot of parts and getting it all to fit together correctly was somewhat frustrating. Some of the white paint was chipped, so I contacted customer service which was very helpful. I was sent touch up paint which resolved my issue with the paint chips. The fireplace will heat up my bedroom well, but it does make a loud fan noise when heating. The flame looks fake, so I would not put this product in a main living area -- appropriate for bedroom only in my opinion. Gas fireplaces are much nicer, but if you can't have a gas fireplace this is okay alternative option for a bedroom or basement.

I bought this item 2-3 months ago .I did not had a chance to use it till now , since it was still warm outside ( FL)..Fireplace insert is not working properly . Option to change flame stopped working when I stared to using fireplace.Fake Fire flame is not mowing, its freezing after a few minutes of use. .I am disappointed. Hopefully customers service can help me to resolve this issue. Would I recommend this product? Ask me again after my conversation with customer service department.

The fireplace was pretty simple to assemble by myself in about an hour and a half. The wood piece on the one side was a little bent and it threw off the rest of the assembly slightly, resulting in a bigger than I'd like gap between the connecting pieces. It took a little maneuvering to get get the firebox to sit properly, and I think that may have also been a result of the one piece being slightly off. The wood is better quality than I was expecting. Overall, I really like this addition to my small townhouse living area. The flames and logs look about as realistic as they can, very nice. I'm excited to see how much warmth it adds this winter. Good purchase!

When turning on or adjusting temperature it beeps loudly and scares my dog. When operating with heat the fan is quite noisy. When operating without heat the unit rumbles intermittently and is distracting. Not sure if I have a defective unit or whether this is typical. Overall too loud when operating. Wish I had a quieter unit.

To begin, the product is very cheaply made and the paint color look dusty. It comes in 2 boxes and is extremely time consuming to put together due to the large number of screws it requires. The faux wood splits when trying to put in the screws. The leveling device requires nailing into wall studs. It has to be plugged into a high energy output sock. Otherwise, it trips the energy box. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

In the details, it says space heating capacity 0-249. Meaning it's only good for up to 249 square feet?

We live in a 1700 ft2 house. When we want to take the chill out of the downstairs (approximately 50% of the total ft2) we will turn on the heat from the fireplace - job done! In the evenings we find putting in on heat mode, the heat will flow upstairs sufficiently to get ready for a comfortable night sleep. It's meant for the space noted but since heat rises it will transfer to the upstairs of any home.

This unit will heat up to a 1000 sq ft space supplementary, so this is not intended to be the only source of heat and the impact will vary depending on the size of the room. For example, this will heat up a 10x10 sq foot room with average ceiling heights 10 degrees in an hour, and this will be less of an impact the bigger the room.
