Part of the Real Flame Grand Series, this extra-large firebox mimics the look of a real fire but does not require a chimney or vents and conveniently plugs into a standard outlet. The end wall in our living room, the first thing seen when entering. needed the look of a fireplace. Without the need or desire to construct the 'real thing', we looked long and carefully for the perfect solution and found it in this electric fireplace. It stands out beautifully against our gray painted walls and white baseboards, provides heat should we need it but, best of all, provides a very realistic fireplace look without heat and just flickering flames to off-set an inviting, comfortable decor. It was easy to assemble, and a very nice, quality piece, completely meeting our expectations.

Son-in-law was able to secure it with glue and continue to assemble fireplace after a waiting period of 45 minutes which glue manufacturer recommends. I am also not pleased with the label stuck on the glass to the firebox. In attempting to remove that label you find yourself with glue adhered to the glass. Now the problem is removing it. So, no. I am not completely satisfied. Like the looks of the fireplace and flame is very nice and I am pleased with the size of the unit.

A few chips in the white mantel, and there are gaps between the firebox and surround. (Also, our TV remote turns it on and off and we can't change the frequency of the remote. Annoying.) Most annoying: the awful sticker on the glass. Sticker came off, glue didn't, and it's near impossible to remove. Hours/days later, I'm still working on it. (Even Goo Gone isn't working!)

I would have rated this 5 stars, but am only rating 4 stars because of the sticker on the glass. The sticker peeled right off but the adhesive took over an hour to remove. I used my finger nails because I didn't want to scratch the glass. The fireplace was easy to assemble, the white finish is very smooth and will be easy to clean. Overall, great product, EXCEPT for the sticker.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected. It was the dumbest thing I have EVER put together! All screws were thumb screws! My fingers were hurting when I was done putting it together! They didn't even pre-drill the holes for the fireplace! It doesn't seem to heat as big of an area as it says in the description. I can't choose my own temperature. It has like 6 temperatures to select from. I have to set it to 8 degrees higher than what I want the area to feel like. I expected the buttons to be the kind that have plastic film over them and light up, but they are just dark, plastic, and non-light up. I think I might have overpayed for this. It looks like it heats up by using coils, not infrared, which is good! That was one of the main reasons I chose this one. It works, but in it's own way.

Assembly took a little extra effort. one of the nuts pulled out and I had to use some epoxy to fix it. there was some slight damage but a little putty and some paint hid it from the casual observer. Some minor gaps but I'm the only one who notices. It looks great. We live all the options and often run it without heat just for the ambiance. We are really enjoying it.

This fireplace was fairly easy to put together, though the directions for installing piece #11 weren't clear, and after several tries we couldn't figure it out; it simply didn't fit. We ended up not using it, and it was no big deal. We bought tgis fireplace about 4 months ago & love it! Super attractive; love all of the features on it -- especially the option to have the fireplace on without the heater.

does the heat roll up towards the tv? Concerned about tv getting to hot.

I think you could painted but you would probably have to sand it And seal it especially the black part so the paint did not bleed through. As for the base I don’t know for sure what it’s made out of probably some kind of a wood composite.

How big of an area will this heat

I have an open living rm, kitchen, dining area. It heats just the living room space, perhaps about 800 sq ft (estimate). I do not leave on for a long period of time, I live in SC, it's been very cold here, which is rare. I bought for the beauty it adds, too, very real like flame!
