The AC connection is made by twisting the copper strands and pushing them into the housing. There is nothing in place to actually hold the wire in place. Cheap construction design which is destined for failure, not something I expected from Reese.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good lights Easy to install. Wire gauge is thicker then other manufactures have gone to. I was disappointed that the ground wire is only 12" long, I splice a section on to get this back to a point where the wire will not be damaged by normal wear and tear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this!! Initial install was a failure, couldn't connect the wires to the rear lights. Found previous reviews more helpful in solving the problem. Product instructions were worthless. Finally got all wires connected and it still doesn't work. Gonna keep using the temporary lights that I have. Wish I had kept the old cruddy wires and just replaced the lights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, simple install. A lot of posters are writing about having issues with the push in wire connections and the wire not being strong enough because it is stranded. But the real problem is the way you are trying to use the connectors, not the connectors themselves. The connections on this product are a push in, bladed connection. Once you push the wire in, the blade cuts into the sheathing to make contact and hold the wire in place. You don't need to strip the wires at all. It was a very simple install for me, and took less than 20 minutes, as my trailer had all of the wire conduits already in place. Very pleased.

How do i keep the wire inserted in place once it is on rhe blue seperator?

Asked by: Ramonq
Good question, from the reviews I've seen everyone else has the same issue. At this point I filled the recessed area with silicone RTV, hopefully this will cure and hold everything in place and keep out the moisture as well.
