Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good drainage and looks neat I bought 2 then and extra one later as they clip together and I needed a wider trough to take away the water from my driveway

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Solid, highly recommended Solid and very easy to cut to a specific size with either a hack or mitre saw.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid product just needs a FYI for concrete instal The product is sturdy and well built. It holds shape very well and should stay where it is placed. Only one downfall is there is holes where to top grate snaps into. When you mount in concrete the holes fill with cement and it is very difficult to remove the grate without either cracking the concrete or breaking the grate. It you cut off the little clips on the grate before install problem is solved. or tape over the holes with something. Other than that it is a solid product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install Easier to install than I thought it would be. Glad someone suggested putting tape on the tabs where the grate snaps into the trough. Haven't gone a full year yet, but so far so good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product easy to install. Solid product for a plastic mould. Should last a few years. If you want to use it as a "run-through" application, because your perimeter drains are shallow compared to newer builds, you'll need a couple of small screws - and caulking - to attach the connector, though. Would you caulking also on the side the connector is built for.

Is there drainage from the bottom of the grate?

Asked by: Brad
Don't recall that being available on the 4' sections -- I added the drain sump section at the end of my run which offers multiple options for exits. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/reln-storm-drain-deep-series-portland-grey-slim-drainage-pit-and-catch-basin-for-channel-drain-system/1000661842

Hello, This product looks like it could work well but I have a 45 degree turn. I see that there is a 90 degree corner but what do you do at a 45 degree corner? David

The resin grate, can it be removed to clean inside once installed? is it possible to replace the grate if it broke?

Asked by: Pennyedel
I used this grate in my basement to replace old clay tile. Yes the grate on the top comes off to clean inside if necessary.

How can you remove the grate once the unit is embedded in the concrete? Since the unit should be slightly below grade I would think flexing the plastic to remove the grate would be difficult.

Asked by: kas2960
Tough to do when cold. I just give it a good yank and the locking tabs release.

Can this product be used in a gravel driveway?

Asked by: Sherry
Hi Sherry, you can certainly install the Storm Drain channel in a gravel driveway. You would need to ensure that 4 inches of concrete is applied around both side of the channel section to support vehicle traffic. I would also recommend installing our Storm Drain leaf guard (part 003410) to help prevent gravel stones from clogging up your drain pipe. Kind Regards

I have a paved driveway, can I cut the pavement and install? Any directions would be helpful.

Asked by: Fleecy
You'll need to cut an additional 3-4" on each side of the trough to ensure that the concrete goes around the trough. Need 3" underneath as well -- it's quite a hole but you need to support it with the poured concrete to ensure integrity of the drain. I threw in some rebar into the concrete just to keep it together if it cracked.

What is the maximum weight that this system can handle. I have a one ton dually with a 4000lbs truck camper. Willthis drain system be able to handle that kind of weight driving over it.

Asked by: Rick
Hi Rick, The RELN Storm Drain channel system when installed with 4 inches of newly poured concrete around each side of the channels, it is designed to support a passenger vehicle - total weight load 5 ton (10,000lbs). If your requirement is a commercial need, I would suggest the RELN Storm Master channel series designed to support heavier loads up to 10 tons https://www.homedepot.ca/product/reln-40-in-storm-master-channel-drain-pro-series-with-class-b-galvanised-grate/1001580786 Please feel free to reach out to us with any additional questions along the way @ 1-855-215-6858

Is there a possibility of making a T-junction. I want to capture water across my garage door opening, then channel that down the centre of my gravel driveway.

Asked by: Glenn
Hi Glenn, the Storm Drain series has a variety of accessories available. To create a cross section you will need to purchase the Storm Drain Channel series 4 Way Connector with Portland Grey Grate (link below). This fitting will allow you the ability to create your desired connection. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/reln-storm-drain-channel-series-4-way-connector-with-portland-grey-grate/1001515951
