Easily attaches to other pieces as I needed 24 feet. Just remember the end caps when you buy it to close off the terminal ends. It also matches the color of the stone surrounding the pool so it looks great!Good Luck!I will buy again if new project arises. Robert M. Solutions Group Design, LLC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product easy to install. Solid product for a plastic mould. Should last a few years. If you want to use it as a "run-through" application, because your perimeter drains are shallow compared to newer builds, you'll need a couple of small screws - and caulking - to attach the connector, though. Would you caulking also on the side the connector is built for.

I wrote a review before on the 10 foot version that I had also purchased at the same time and used them in conjunction with each other to cover 27 feet - 8 inches in front of my garage. They were basically easy to install and have been standing up to the hard ground and snow since.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid product just needs a FYI for concrete instal The product is sturdy and well built. It holds shape very well and should stay where it is placed. Only one downfall is there is holes where to top grate snaps into. When you mount in concrete the holes fill with cement and it is very difficult to remove the grate without either cracking the concrete or breaking the grate. It you cut off the little clips on the grate before install problem is solved. or tape over the holes with something. Other than that it is a solid product

I have a paved driveway, can I cut the pavement and install? Any directions would be helpful.

Is there drainage from the bottom of the grate?

    Asked by: Brad
No, it drains to a pipe that you install at the same time. Where you send the drainage is another issue depending on your location and situation.

Can this product be used in a gravel driveway?

    Asked by: Sherry
Yes, but you'll have to encase it in a concrete curb as per the install info. Be prepared to clean residue out every so often to keep it working well -- suggest you install optional trap section at end to prevent gravel from filling drain pipe.

So I have positioned the catch basin so that the channels are pushed down (connected) into place. So the male end is facing the discharge. How does the discharge end plate attach? ABS glue?

    Asked by: kas2960
Hello Kas, You can seal the end cap to the male end of the Storm Drain channel by applying an outdoor rated silicone, or you can use a cement based adhesive which can bond Polypropylene (PP) together. Kind Regards

Hello, This product looks like it could work well but I have a 45 degree turn. I see that there is a 90 degree corner but what do you do at a 45 degree corner? David

    Asked by: dablondi
Hi David, Unfortunately we do not have 45 degree fittings.

How can you remove the grate once the unit is embedded in the concrete? Since the unit should be slightly below grade I would think flexing the plastic to remove the grate would be difficult.

    Asked by: kas2960
Hi Kas, The grates are designed to be removed and reinstalled once the channel sections are installed in a concrete application. With a flat head screwdriver inserted in the pry opening slots which are located on both sides of the channel grates, they simply pop out. Its important when installing concrete that the grates are protected from concrete. Regards

Are adapters necessary to join two of these together? If so, are they included with the product? Also, is a separate end cap necessary or is it included?

    Asked by: lakesidebrowser
Joiners are not required for attaching additional lengths of channel sections together. The Storm Drain channels clip together for a quick connection. End Caps and other accessories are sold separately. Depending on the application, you may want to have one End sealed off so that any runoff water is discharging in one direction.

Can this item be driven over with a pick-up truck when it is installed.

    Asked by: Bobby
As long as the channels are installed with the required concrete support (4-inches on each side) , the system will support a 5 ton vehicle.
