RESCUE! Canadian Non-Toxic Disposable Fly Trap

Model # FLY TRAP 12|Store SKU # 1000160474

Overview

Model # FLY TRAP 12 Store SKU # 1000160474

The RESCUE! Non-Toxic Disposable Fly Trap is baited for hundreds of fly species which are most common in agricultural areas including house flies, false stable flies, blow flies, blue and green bottle flies, flesh flies, face flies and many others. The RESCUE! Fly Trap contains a fast-acting fly attractant that starts working as soon as you add water. Food and feed additives are combined with other dried ingredients to make the RESCUE! attractant. Lured by the scent, flies enter through the top cap and drown in the water. Once lured inside the trap, the flies cannot escape and drown in the water added to the bag. The RESCUE! Fly Trap is intended for use outdoors. It will help control the fly population outside before it ever becomes a nuisance inside. The RESCUE! Fly Trap can be used whenever hot, humid conditions or the presence of animals or garbage causes an outdoor fly problem.

  1. Never touch bait or flies
  1. No-mess disposal
  1. Catches up to 20,000 flies

I have used these for years with great success. TIP: Throw the entire thing out in a sealed plastic bag when it stinks too bad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good product Bad construction These fly traps work well outside (as designed) However, if you drop them when they are filled at the proper level, the seams split, rendering it unusable. I have used these in previous years and they were great, this year, Not so much.

The bag broke open from the bottom as I was carrying it from the kitchen to outside. How do I get the odor out of my house?

Asked by: Donna
That happened to me only outside and I flooded the area and swept it out and it still smelled for a day or two. Inside I would wash it with scented soap and then rinse with clean water, then rinse again with bleach mixed in water. About a 1/4 cup bleach to a gallon of water. Then spray a bunch of Fabreeze air freshener.

What is the effective range? I have a 20 ft away from my door and I can still smell it. How far can I put it away and still reasonably expected to work?

How do I dispose of the fly trap? It works but is now filled with dead flies.
Asked by: Marilyn
I suggest place in a bag and tie it tight, dispose of in regular trash. I would also do the day before or morning of trash day as the odor of decaying flies is very very strong.
