Rated 3 out of 5 by from 60 - 70 db is too loud fan at this price! Installation did go smoothly and quickly even though this fan is larger than the one I replaced and I had to cut out some extra space in the opening. BUT! I expected this fan to be much quieter at this price range. The entire bathroom is sitting over 60db with the fan on and near the fan its at 70db. There's a faint rattle in the fan sound as well. It's not the quality I expect for this price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Humidity switch is not integrated into fan Just bought this based on the description and photos on the HD site. And am very surprised to find a separate humidity switch included in the packaging. I assumed it was an 'integrated' humidity switch and I'd have to wire the fan with constant power, and the fan would simply automatically turn on if/when above a certain humidity level. It implies that the humidity sense function is built-in to the fan. Why? The humidity switch was never pictured in the photos from the manufacturer at all so I found it a bit misleading. Or it should state in the description "comes with separate humidity switch". Now I find myself trying to re-work my initial plans to wire it all based on the unit requiring constant power instead of switched power. I have yet to install it, i'll revise my rating if the performance warrants it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not easy and loud Bought this to replace a 20 year old fan. Older fan quieter. Blow in insulation all over the place removing the old one and with a mix of plaster and gyproc for the ceiling the tabs dont work without carving notches. Humidity sensor seems to work which is why it gets 2 stars

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but you need a pro. The fan is not as silent as expected. I bought 4 and each has its own sound level. It's not simple to install as each one required some adjustments to fit.

What is the difference between Assembled Depth (in inches) 9.75 and Assembled Height (in inches) 6.375. I have about 8 inches from ceiling to the floorboard above for installation. Would this fit?

Asked by: Roger
Lots of room, I believe these will fit in a 2x6 joist area if the ceiling is strapped with 1x4

HI Can we install this fan on my bathroom wall. (not on the ceiling) Thank you

Asked by: Patof
Yes, ReVent fans can be installed in both wall and ceiling applications. When mounting in a wall, remove the damper flap inside of ReVent and you'll need to ensure your exterior vent hood has a built-in flap.

How much noise zone is:  ultra-low sound

Asked by: Wanda
Hi Wanda, The RVLH110 is 1.3 sones, which is considered very quiet. If you believe the sound is louder than this, please check the following: 1. Dirty or clogged vent pipe 2. Closed vent pipe damper 3. Vent pipe should be 4 in diameter. 4. Length of vent pipe should not exceed 10 ft.
