Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it Have had two of these, bottom of the line, Rheem units installed in my house by professional plumbers. Not my choice but it's what he showed up with. The first one failed after 6 years 2 months (just out of warranty) the second after 3 years. Both times due to tank leak failures. Called Rheem to exercise the warranty on the second one and was informed that as a homeowner I would have to get a licensed plumber to claim the warranty. I.E. I would have to pay the $300-$400 install fee! Note that the replacement tank would only be warranted for the remaining 3 years on the original warranty. Sorry Rheem. I'm done with your products. Purchased a competitors product with a 9 year warranty (which I can claim myself), installed it myself for the same cost my local plumber would have changed me in labour for the Rheem warranty replacement. Lesson: Don't buy the cheap one.

Just moved in. Electric water heater. Mod. # RR410T. Item #9015101027979. 175 Litres. Ser.No 0104J13824. Would like to increase the water temp but cannot find the thermostat on the unit. Cheers Jim

    Asked by: Jimmy
Hi Jimmy. Thanks for reaching out. To adjust the temperature on a standard electric water heater; 1) Turn off the water heater. 2) Remove the jacket access panels and insulation, exposing the thermostats. 3) The thermostat protective cover should not be removed. 4) Using a small screwdriver, set the thermostats dial pointers to the desired temperature. 5) Replace the insulation and jacket access panels. Turn on the power to the water heater. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Need help on voltage supply (breaker type) for this item. Believe the HD electirc supply person is wrong

Purchase all items at HD today. 12 gauge 2 conductor wire (black & white) and he said 20 AMP single pole breaker. Heater has black and red connection wire. Only way to connect supply voltage with a single pole is black to breaker white to white common studs in panel. only supplying 110 volts to heater. If rated for 240V, should the breaker not be a double pole single throw 20 Amp? Then supply black to black (110V) and connect white to red and at panel white to other pole of the breaker.(110V) supply. No neutral connection. I dont want to hook 110 to each heater connection if this is not proper or may cause damage. I questioned this with stor personnel and they said he has always connected it with a single pole breaker. Need your help for 3000 Watt 240V heater
    Asked by: Anonymous
240 volt is connected to a double pole breaker, 120 volt is connected to a single pole breaker. Cheers. Rheem.
