The polybutene design makes the tank impervious to corrosion, and eliminates the need for an anode rod (preventing sulphur odours). Perfect for rural areas, well applications, and areas with very hard water. Foam to floor insulation for high efficiency and light weight for ease of installation. 120 volt electricity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Our Requirements I wired this up to a dedicated 20A breaker using both wire and a switch rated at 20A. This tank is used as a small receiving/buffer tank for hot water from our gas tankless water heater. Both are set at 125C. We now have no hot water delays or temperature pulsing and the electrical consumption is minimal. The tank looks and works great and is the perfect size for this application. And we have a reserve of hot water if the tankless heater ever needs service or replacement. Cheers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heat small heater Fantastic. Easy to install, heats up really fast and so far we haven’t run out of hot water at our cottage. Only thing I’d say is that it’s a bit wide so make sure to measure your space first.

Can you drain this tank in winter as we have a seasonal cottage. Does this come with instructions?

Yes it has a drain, and instructions are included. I will mention that I too have a seasonal cottage and upon putting my water in for this season I wasn’t getting hot water. Called and had the parts in 2 days.

would someone be able to have a shower with this unit? If so about how long a shower would there be hot water using the factory settings? And what is the recovery time for a second shower? THANKS!!

Hello Andy, Thanks for asking, this would depend quite a bit on your estimated hot water usage and the flow rate of your particular shower, you can assume an average of length of hot water before the tank is depleted to be about 10 minutes
