Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy I had bought some soft close hardware from home depot in the past and they work great. I added more upper cabinets and needed more for the new cupboards. I found these in stock at Home depot so I bought them and tried them out today. They do not work at all, I will be returning them the next time I go to Home Depot. As I aid don't bother buying them, you will be dissapointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job First and foremost these are just a shock absorber. These are not slow close and silent. These dampen the final impact of the door closing. They are easy to install. I recommend taping in spot first to test the location and mark the screw location. I also carefully predrilled the screw location. I had to put two on some doors due to the size of the door. I had found my doors actually needed adjusting to close evenly which made a big difference on how quiet and effective they worked. The test was when my friends three year old was asked to put the garbage in the can under the sink. He placed the garbage and decided to close the door with force. The cylinders (two) really took the shock very well. I used one on the top and bottom under the sink because there is no divider bar to center the cylinder between the hinges opposite side. If you want to retrofit a slow silent close without changing hinges, Richelieu has a more expensive option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't work well and not adjustable These bumpers do not have sufficient resistance to prevent the cabinet door from slamming. Had no effect with normal kitchen cabinet door so tried with smaller bathroom cabinet door again with no material effect. No way to adjust the resistance either. Now going back to return them to the store.
