Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not fit most 2.5" RIGID vacuums I took the description at its word that it would fit my RIGID vacuum which uses a 2.5" hose. The attachment point to the vacuum base is larger and needs a step down to the hose size. That is how it was on the original 7' hose. There were 3 adapters but not one for my model which is probably the majority configuration of RIGID shop vacuums currently in use. Way to go Home Depot, my first mistake was investing in your house brand! If you as a customer have the vacuum pictured or similar model, this will not have the proper attachment included in the box for your model. It is not sold seperately either. What a dissapointment, what a waste of time and what a run around trying to get some answers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value. The deal that doesn't suck! Excellent value for the money. I now leave my vacuum in the corner of the shop and the 20ft hose reaches everywhere! I also added a remote switch so I can turn on the vac from anywhere in my shop. Would have liked to add a Dustopper and a 5 gallon bucket to the whole setup but HD doesn't sell them in Canada so I had to settle for that other more expensive Dust D one.

I just assumed being approximately 3 X longer than the original replacement for only a few extra dollars that it would be of a cheaper quantity. My assumption was wrong. This is a good quality hose that's just as good if not better than the original.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit my Rigid vacuum. I just bought this today and found that it does not fit the vacuum. The 60 litre 5HP vacuum has a 3 “ opening and the hose has 2 1/2. I have no idea why Rigid does not have a simple 2 1/2 to 3” coupling. Seems stupid to sell these hoses and vacuums without the right size. In the reviews many customers also had the same problem. Hope someone will pay some attention. I am taking mine back as it’s useless without the right fitting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great vacuum hose kit My vacuum hose used to keep falling off so I bought this one because it locks on and I love it. It has never fell off. I also got a 20 ft hose which is great since I don't have to keep the vacuum close to me or have it getting caught on stuff in my shop. My only complaint is that I also wanted the smaller wand fitting but it was only available at the store. I'm an hour and a half from the nearest store so I only buy online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must buy! Recently purchased, as I believe it would be an excellent add-on to the Wet/dry vac WD1481 I purchased at the same time. Unfortunately, one of three adapters in the box was missing, a not so serious packaging error. Instead of taking the box to the store, which I could have done very easily, I decide to write to the Ridgid Company and see if they can send me the missing part to complete the set. It was a pleasant surprise when I received a quick response from Lance in Customer Service who promised to do something even though the item is not stocked as a single item but as part of a package. Not only did Lance call and leave a message promising to resolve the matter but he confirmed via email as well. I could tell, listening to his message, that he genuinely intended to make the set whole whatever it took. Well, he delivered, as UPS just delivered the item a couple of days ago. Thanks Lance and Ridgid!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2-1/2 in. x 20 ft. (6 m) Universal Wet/Dry Vacuum This unit works as advertised. It attaches to the Vacuum securely and has swivels at each connection, allowing multiple lengths to be connected together. The adapters allow connection to some smaller diameter devices and hoses. When using multiple tubing lengths it is advisible to tape each tube joint. Insure the swivel action is operable at each joint.

Will this fit a Ridgid model WD14500 vacuum?  You really shouldn't claim it fits "all Ridgid vacuums" when multiple customers have reported that it does not.

The diameter of the hose end is 1 7/8, inside or outside diameter??

Hi, is this hose compatible with the WD1636 shop vac?

I got this hose and accs. for a Ridgid vacuum cleaner with a 2 1/2 inch hose, check your hose size If your hose is 2 1/2 inch, it should fit for your shop vac. This hose is a lot better made with the two ends more flexible and you have 3 adapters with it to put on whichever end fits your vac you just have to screw the end on the hose, which ever end you want to use on your machine I like it It is worth the the money if you have the 2 1/2 inch opening on your machine

Bought this for my 3 gallon Ridgid vac (https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/3-gallon-portable-pro-vac) but it doesn't really fit...I have to force it on the vac itself, and no attachments fit, even with the included adapters, plus there's no collar slider. Why?

Make sure you're using the right collar for connecting to the vac. Included with the hose are a few different options depending on what vac you have. The 3 gallon vac includes 1-7/8 inch diameter accessories, but this hose features a 2-1/2 inch diameter on the end. You'll need to pick up 2-1/2 inch accessories for use with this vac or a 2 1/2 inch to 1 7/8 inch adapter which is included in this kit (the description is not right, it's actually 2-1/2 inch to 1-7/8 inch, not to 1 1/4 inch) https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.3-piece-hose-adapter-kit-for-wetdry-vacuum.1000527708.html
