Rated 2 out of 5 by from I want to like it After over 2 years of owning this wrench I still have it, at it's in one piece. It does what it is suppose to, but my overall liking of the rapid grip wrench is fair at best. It makes a better hammer than anything. If you are doing black iron gas lines and are installing fittings this is the tool for you, but if you are expecting to wrench on nipples with nothing to grab on to, just get a standard wrench. Ridgid missed the mark on the design. The shape of the bottom jaw is wrong and the spring in it could be stronger. I think a stronger spring would take care of most of the issues. It has held up. I have wrenched and beaten on stuff that shouldn't be wrenched on with this little wrench. Its just a matter of getting the thing to bite. When I buy a new wrench I would just go with a standard aluminum pipe wrench. There is minimum time saving with this wrench when you can't get it to bite easily. Ridgid just missed the mark on this particular concept and product.
