As a garage woodworker that is short on space this little fella is a total workhorse! My review will be in a few segments. The package showed up in top condition and appeared to be very well packed and there was no damage to the machine. The table was perfectly flat and easy to square the blade up. The only thing that takes a little playing around with is the blade guards and the anti kickback mechanisms. The anti kickback is a bit annoying to get installed and causes a little bit of scratching on the surface of the table. This is a pretty solid machine that is fairly lightweight and can be easily picked up and put down if you are working by yourself. The blade controls are very simple to use and the fence is actually pretty sturdy. I ripped down about 300 square feet of flooring and ripped 4x4 pine posts into 140 linear feet of trim for a renovation and it never moved once out of place. This does need to be mounted to a work bench in some way or it will move. I was cutting non stop for a while and it never slowed or bogged down at all, the dust chute has a very well designed ejection system that easily connected to my shop vac. I love how this saw accepts dado blades, it made it very competitive with other brands of compact table saws, this is what won me over vs the Ryobi brand compact saw. You can go up to 3/4 inch and it cuts like a charm. I was able to do all of my cabinets almost effortlessly with the dados. The miter slots are well designed and I was able to make a crosscut jig for it with absolutely no play, they are decently spaced and easy to use with other brand jigs. The extending table was a lifesaver when I was cutting 4x8 sheets of plywood. The only thing that I would highly suggest with this is investing in or making yourself a good feeding and out feeding stands to help support your work pieces. The power was amazing, it rips 4x4x10 beams like a hot knife through butter. It never bogged down or never lost power. it stayed on and never overheated with the constant running I was subjecting it to. Overall I am very happy with this saw, the design is great, the power is matched with other brands, and perfect for the guy or gal needing a good table saw and strapped for room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs. I bought this as I'm renovating and needed a table saw that would do everything I need but be able to put it away and not take up much space. So far I have no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw for the money I have a very small shop and and when I moved to it I had to get rid of my ridgid r4512 and while this isn’t a perfect replacement it is the best I could have asked for. I am also continually impressed with the fence, every time I move it it always locks back down square. Would 100% recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice little saw This Little saw is great for the casual home handywoman. It’s light enough to move around, robust enough to get the job done, and easy to set up. The fence locks down nice and tight and seems to be quite accurate. The blade is easy to change out, and there is a nifty little port to hook up a shop vac for dust control. All in all I’m quite happy with it and have used it more than I thought I would!

I have an 8 inch Freud DADO set. According to the manual, it say you can use a 6 inch DADO. If this is a 10 inch saw, can you use an 8 inch DADO?

Asked by: Clumsyfingers
This saw is only rated to handle a 6" dado stack. I would not suggest an 8 inch stack.

Can you buy a stand to put this saw on...??

Asked by: Anonymous
As per rigidexpert, you indeed need to have a custom stand. Even some universal stands don't fit. If you want a stand, buy the model with the stand, or buy a different product altogether.

Is there a stand you can buy for this saw?

Asked by: Anonymous
No. It this model doesn't have the stand and you CANNOT buy it separately. I recommend that if you're planning on buying this saw, buy the on with the stand included. Rigid and Home Depot do not have stands compatible, and HD cannot order one.

Does the Ridgid R4516 have the same 15amp motor as the Ridgid R4510

Asked by: Anonymous
The expert says that they are the same, but that cannot be true. The no-load speed of the 4510 is 4500RPM and the no-load speed of the 4516 is 5000RPM. This quite clearly indicates that the two saws use different motors. This info is listed on both the HDepot and Ridgid websites. To be honest, I don't care about the speed. But it would be good to know that the 4516 also has a soft start motor since my application requires a very long extension cord and high starting or running amps are not a good thing in that case. I can control the running amps by making sure I do not overload the saw (light slow loads only), but there is nothing I can do about the startup amps.

Can I use dado blades with this saw?

Manual says you can use 6-inch stacked dado. Manual also says you can buy a dado throat plate but I'm having trouble finding one
