Rated 1 out of 5 by from NEVER BUY A RIDGID TOOL Two years ago I made the mistake of buying a bunch of Ridgid tools to outfit my woodworking business. Much to my surprise, the tools are crap. Table saw(the first one: I'm on #3) blade bushing went whacko within 2 weeks, the second one lasted a year with 8 months of zero use. Planer (I'm on #5) is utter garbage. In December of 2019 both the planer and table saw became unusable. I called Ridgid and was told to take them to Home Depot. Last week, March of 2020, I got a replacement saw. An upgrade. The table isn't flat and the fence isn't true. I tweaked the fence enough to use but the table isn't something I can fix. It dips to the right starting about 5" from the blade. I, again, called Ridgid and was told to take it to Home Depot. Drills ( I have 4), (batteries have no life and need replacing inside of a year and it's a hassle. 8 batteries in 2 years and I had to pay for 2 of them because they no longer make the same ones) The shop vac (#2, #1 just died in clean up) that I run with a Cyclone struggles like it has asthma. If I had the cash to replace everything... there wouldn't be a Ridgid tool in my shop. I won't sell them either. That would be cruel. NEVER BUY A RIDGID TOOL

I had been very happy with it until a couple of months ago when plastic parts started breaking. The most recent was the height adjustment knob/wheel broke which made it impossible to move the blade up and down! I'm a 60+ female with arthritic hands and not a lot of weight. I'm not strong enough to cause it to break it from normal use. Basically, this particular part is just a cheap piece of plastic. I had to purchase a replacement part.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money First off, I use these tools on a daily basis for remodeling and new homes. I have owned this style for a couple of years now and have been very disappointed. I owned a Dewalt previously and was very happy with it until it finally burnt the motor up. The parts on this are mostly plastic and multiple pieces have broken and been replaced several times. The wheel to raise and lower blade has broken 4 times within a year, the on/off switch has broke, and the bolts that hold the on/off switch stripped out and broke. The fence will not stay in place and can be bumped and moved easily which doesn't help when ripping multiple pieces to the same width. I hate when these companies just keep building things cheaper and cheaper. The only thing I like about the saw is the portable stand. If you want any dependability, shop for a better brand.

Good for home use and fits nicely in my garage and when collapsed is easy to move about. It sits tall enough to use with my plywood work table if I have to work alone. I originally had my fathers old Craftsmen table saw. Good saw but a lot of iron to move around. This is much better for an old soul.

Just double checking ... will this saw fully assembled on it's stand, fit through a 30" doorway? The specs say assembled width is 29.07" so "technically" it should fit but sometimes printed dimensions aren't always 100% accurate?

    Asked by: Beacher
Hi Beacher, Yes this saw fully assemble can wheel through a standard doorway. Thank you for your question!

Just bought the Ridgid R4513 and was wondering how to get the angle of the blade to lock at 90 degrees? I have adjusted the lock mechanism so that it’s much tighter but every time you turn on the saw it moved 5 to 10 degrees off 90.

    Asked by: Glen
Hi Glen, If you are having an issue reaching true 90, we suggest that you take the tool to a service center, if you registered the table saw then the service will be covered. Thanks, RIDGID Canada

I have a 10" portable table saw (Model # R4513|Store SKU # 1000155721) and the table has broken away from the frame - seems to be a weak area in the corners where the table attaches to the frame.   Would this be considered a warranty issue?

    Asked by: Macman
Hi Macman, Yes this is a warranty issue, call customer service or bring this to your local service center. Thanks, RIDGID Canada

My current stand has broke (model #R45101), however, my portable table saw still works fine. Is it possible to purchase the stand only? The current model online (model #R4513) stand would be compatible. Is this available from your manufacturer?

    Asked by: Richard
Hi Richard, I would suggest calling the customer service line to discuss the solution. Here is the phone number 1‒866‒539‒1710

Is there a dust collector bag for the ejector port on this table saw?

    Asked by: John
Hi John, There is not a dust collection bag with this tool. There are adapters that are easily available to use with this saw so you can manage dust collection.
