Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw Even With The Wobble I wasn't going to buy this Saw because the reviews said it has a bad wobbling blade. I'm glad I wanted to try it out for myself. It has a wobble in the blade but that's velocity during the slow down of the blade, after the cut is done. During the cut, this blade is straight due to the laws of velocity, at higher RPM's. Every cut is smooth and straight and that's all that matters on the job. The added plus is the Warranty over the life of the tool.

Unfortunately it was stolen out of my garage and I replaced it with the 10" model. The 10" model performs with the same quality, but wishing I had replaced it with the 12"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lon lasting good tool I have had this tool and have been using it for over 6 years. I have had no issues with it after it's initial setup. It has been cutting all types of wood and crown molding. I have not had a single issues with the saw since purchasing it.

The value of this saw is great; just be ready to keep gear box oiled and keep miter adjustment screws tightened. I bought the saw 5 years ago and have cut thousands of boards, from oak pallets to pecan branches for hat racks to cedar fence pickets and it has been a champ. 3 tips, 1. keep gear box oiled 2. use a 10 gauge extension chord, it is 15 amps 3. keep miter adjusting screws tightened The saw has stayed true, the laser once adjusted is a time saver, the dual bevel is a gem for trim and the base has been solid through years of construction. Take care of your tools and your tools will take care of you.

Can it mitre a 4x4?

One reviewer mentioned doing 45deg mitre cuts on 4x4 but the literature/manual imply that it's capacity at 45deg is limited to "2x6". Could an actual owner please confirm one way or the other?

It will mire a 4 X 4 but the hieight of 3 1/2 inches may be an issue. Length outward will be ok though

Actual crosscut capacity

I really want to purchase a Ridgid mitre saw but "actual" crosscut capacity is very important to me, however, only nominal capacities are available on the Home Depot information pages. I was interested in the 4121 12"dual bevel but it isn't even on the Home Depot website. So now more questions arise! Please, what is the "actual" crosscut capacity on the 4120, M1250lz and where is the 4121?

This will cut a standard 'X 8" material...so a 2 x 8 for example./ Actual crosscut capacity is from 7 1/2 to 7 5/8 inche.
