Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very powerfull for a small Vac I bought this unit because it was small to fit in my basement workshop. It is very powerful and light too. The only negative is the hose, it is not flexible and hard to maneuver around. But I built a dust cyclone separator and put the unit in a stationary place. For the price it is a good value vac

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully designed machine This is a cleverly designed shop vac and leaf blower in one. It functions better than the separate shop vac and blower I previously owned, cost less than half and takes up much less space.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So So vacuum This vacuum has lots of power, however the design of the bags is not good. It is a shop vacuum and that means picking up bigger dirt.... the vacuum clogs at the opening for the bag because of the design of the bag with a type of a stopper to direct dirt either way - larger pieces of dirt gets stuck, example wood chips, hay, etc. Also the hose is very very stiff which makes it awkward to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Great!! One of the best Vacuum I’ve ever use. Very powerful for its size. Easy to carry around, power cord is long enough to go pretty far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wet dry/vac Good product so far. Wish it came with a noise diffuser though because it's really noisy! The blower detaches easily and is light- very useful. All in all great purchase, hopefully it lasts.. we'll see

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great concept with only small complaints This vacuum is small and light, but impressively powerful. The blower function is a bonus and a great idea. I bought this because I needed a shop vac that is small, yet versatile, and can be attached to power tools to reduce the mess when working in my garage. The blower is not intended for heavy yard work, but has been invaluable for blowing off tools after use, and blowing away leaves in and near my garage in the fall. The lifetime warranty was also a big selling point for me. My suggestions for improvement would be an inexpensive attachment with which to store accessories instead of the useless cup in the back which only effectively stores a couple of small parts. The wheels are a nice touch, but so cheap that I doubt that they’ll be viable after only moderate use. Otherwise I love this shopvac/blower

Looking for a shop vacuum that has a strong enough blower to close my inground swimming pool.

    Asked by: Ezg99
I do not know what is required to close an inground pool, so I cannot really say. The blower is strong. Only the Locking Blower Wand will attach to blower port, not the hose or extension wands. Have a look at the blower wand, the one with the tapered end, to see if it will suit your requirements. The Blower Wand doesn't really lock in place, If you really shake it around, it will loosen off. I have never used it to vacuum water, so I cannot rate that, but one of the reasons I purchased it is that if I had to, I would be able carry that much water when it is time to empty it.

My contractor used my Rigid vacuum to suck up water. Should he have taken the filter out first?   Thanks

    Asked by: Hank
Hello Hank, It depends on the amount of water being sucked up by the vac. You can use the pleated paper filter for picking up small amounts of liquid (2-4 inches of liquid in the bottom of the drum). For large amounts of liquid pickup, the vac can be run without a filter or with wet foam filter VF3700. Thanks, RIDGID
