Impact Drill with the 3 speed as well as the Reciprocating saw this weekend while working on my truck. The Reciprocating saw worked amazing while cutting of my exhaust pipe with ease. Was surprised for what little effort I had to use when cutting it. After this, I used the 1/4 in. Impact Drill to unbolt basically everything in the front to remove my CV axle such as wheel lugs, brake calipers, tie rod castle nut and lower control arm assembly. I was so surprised I had to double check if I was using a 3/4 in. Drill. As a result of me being so impressed, I gave my Dewalt set to one of my buddy’s today.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Ridgid cordless tool set is perfect! Having the four tools (Impact Driver, Hammer Drill Multi-Tool and Reciprocating Saw) in one set with interchangeable batteries is the perfect way to go. Hubby says they are "heavy" -- not in the sense of weight, but in that they are beefy and strong, not cheap tools. He's quite happy with the set. Having the lifetime warranty is beyond compare. The set is right now gathered into the carrying bag and in the back of the Escalade. Tomorrow's project list includes working with a neighbor installing a new awning on our camper - a two-man job. Tools are ready for use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and the performance I bought this 3 months ago and I'm impressed with value and the performance. - The reciprocating saw is why i bought the kit, and it truly worked to prune up to 6'' diameter cedar hedge branches. it was perfect with the 4mAh battery. I made some 24 cuts in less than an hour, and still had 50% charge on the battery. - 3-speed impact driver is awesome, fast and powerful (2 Ah battery is perfect for home use) - The hammer drill/driver works great as a driil/driver. i have not used the hammer function yet (2 Ah battery is perfect for home use) - Multi-Tool works. i have not really used it yet. - Overall it's great value and i recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Battery issues So every tool, with the exception of the reciprocating saw, works great. The batteries do not fit the saw. I tried both and neither one fit. Found this out just as I needed the saw too. My suggestion is as soon as you get it, open it up in the car/truck and make sure the batteries fit all the tools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool kit for the money. The kit is a great value for the money whether it's for a DIY project or if you are contractor. This kit should cover almost all of your project needs. The first thing I did was break down an old couch with the sawzall and impact driver. It was a pretty old couch, so I couldn't just take it apart like something from Ikea. There were plenty of screws that had to be removed and I had to cut the frame up in all sorts of places. It made quick work of the couch and I got it out in no time. The impact driver is also great if you work on your car. It certainly would have been usefull when I blew a tire after hitting a pothole while traveling out of state. Now it stays in my car with my hydraulic jack and stands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage I bought this kit & returned it 3x . multi tool in each kit was off center . After 3x I just kept it anyway . 1 reason I bought this was lifetime warranty. The reciprocating saw is difficult to load and unload saw blades from day 1 as well . My hammer drill seized up after a year. I went and brought these tools in for repair and Home Depot no longer services them. The nearest place is in Hielaha. This is BS ! Tool’s garbage and so is warranty! I called rigid , it was a 2.5 hr hold time .

The quality and the feel of these tools is excellent; noticeably better than similar and even more expensive products on the market. The 4Ah and 2Ah batteries are a great idea and the tools feel balanced with both. Love the multi-tool; most sets don’t have this so a good bonus.

How do these compare to the GENX tools? Are these an upgrade over the GENX? I saw the drill/driver have stronger torque, which is what I'm after but I am not sure if there's something else not as good as the GENX. Thanks!
