Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lightweight 6-1/2" circular saw. I have numerous Ridgid tools that I'm very pleased with. I also have one of the first Ridgid 6-1/2" circular saws and I wanted a saw with more power and I thought this one with a brushless motor and several years newer would be the answer, I read the reviews which indicated this was a good light but powerful tool. I was disappointed as it has much less power than my old saw. I could not cut a 2x4 without stalling it. It's a toy, not a tool. Don't buy. I returned the saw and may look at the 7-1/4" model.

It's got power, it's compact and lightweight, it's not heavy, and it's inexpensive while being a professional grade tool. If you're invested in the ridgid battery platform and need a circular saw, buy this one over the 7¼.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Underperformer I bought this as part of the promo which came with a 2Ah battery. The saw is severely underpowered, cuts thought 2x6s of spf have to be done so slow that it would be faster to cut by hand. Battery lasts only for a few cuts
