Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Powerful Yes, it will take the lug nuts off your car, even with only a 2A battery. My 150ft/lbs F150 lug nuts come off with this impact wrench. It's not instant - the impact buzzes for a couple seconds, but then it's no issue. So if it'll take nuts off my truck, it'll do pretty well any personal vehicle out there. It's also got the advantage of being small and fairly lightweight, especially in comparison to full size 1/2" impact wrenches. Go to the Depot and check out the display - there are lots of full size half inch impact wrenches that are like Thor's hammer. There are also lots of small ones rated for well under 200 ft.lbs when this one is 225. I doubt others would be able to take off truck lug nuts. I switched from Makita to this. Can't go wrong with the lifetime service agreement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am impressed This tool really impressed me, looks small but tons of power. I used it for lag bolts to fasten on my woodworks and also lug nuts on the wheels. It’s a great tool with great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big power, small size! Very powerful little unit, I mostly use it working on cars. I used it for tearing down some engines, can do pretty much everything but the crank bolt with ease. (Need the big boy there) Much better than a 1/4" nut driver with a socket adapter, and actually lighter/smaller. Very similar head size and power to the Milwaukee Stubby M12 Fuel impact, but even lower priced. Would have been a 5 star review, but the battery placement is a bit wonky. It's right flush with the end of the anvil, so it can get in the way in certain circumstances, especially when using short sockets on a flat or nearly flat surface. Handle need more slope, or battery needed some more rearwards offset. This is much less an issue when using deep sockets, and using any extension makes it a total non issue. Sidenote, there is a 1/2" twin to this coming, so if you already have 1/2" impact sockets, maybe wait for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The little gun that could This little but mighty 3/8 impact gun packs a punch. Once i learned to use the automatic setting for removal of fasteners, I realized this gun is the little that not only could, but did. No regrets buying at all. Love the compact size and the power it packs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very small, amazing price. The tool head is very small and the weight is minimal. Very capable as well. Unfortunately the battery is holding this sub-subcompact line back. If Ridgid came up with a smaller battery (and drop the voltage to 12v if they had to) I think they would have an amazing offering that would rival the higher priced competition. Ultimately I returned the tool and got a smaller one from another manufacturer, but I'll keep and eye on Ridgid to see if their next revision will offer smaller batteries.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't break 120 ft.-lbs wheel lug nut Rated for 225 ft.-lbs but Can't break 120 ft.-lbs wheel lug nut. That's a little more than 50% rating. Quite disapointed. Bought it to change my winters on Tesla which is rated at 129 ft.-lbs

I just purchased this sub compact 3/8” brushless impact wrench. This does have 225lbs of breakaway torque right?  Should this not take off lug nuts that are torqued to 80-100lbs of torque??

Will this tool work on the X4 battery?

Asked by: MattBB

I love the concept and the size of this drill but they do not offer a 1/4 hex drive. If they come out with one I may have to start buying rigid products. Even though I'm a default guy

Does it matter what size battery I use in the 3/8" impact wrench

Is it possible to change the anvil to the 1/2 inch? Is this the only difference between the tools? L
