RIDGID introduces the R860721 18V Cordless Hybrid Jobsite Fan (Tool Only). The new Hybrid Jobsite Fan is 40% more powerful than the predecessor model R860720, with impressive air movement speeds of 670 CFM and 1070 FPM. Even with such high-power, the fan maintains quiet noise levels with a decibel level of less than 50 dBA. Using an 18V 6.0Ah MAX Output Battery (R840060), this fan can deliver over 7 hours of runtime on the max speed setting. The hybrid feature on the 18V Hybrid Jobsite Fan allows the fan to run on any RIDGID 18V battery or an extension cord to keep the fan running even longer. Using the integrated extension cord slot, the cord can be tucked flat under the unit while plugged in. For maximum usability and convenience, the fan offers 10 different mounting options. The R8609021 fan includes the Hybrid Jobsite Fan and Operator's Manual. Batteries and charger sold separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Job Ridgid I’m a fan of your fan! I now own two Ridgid fans. I just loved the older slightly bigger model. So when the newer model came on sale I had to check it out. When I first saw it I thought … nope too small. However others said this fan may be small but it is efficient. Now I know what they are talking about. It is smaller but I think it is better, even more output. I like the new speed adjustment dial. Batteries seem to last longer and because it is slightly smaller it is even more handy. When it is hot you will definitely need this guy. Fans don’t seem to last forever but I now have a lifetime warranty. So 😎

Second, I was looking to get this fan. It was 78.88$ (regular price) and I was waiting for this fan to be on sale. Instead, to my sad surprise, this fan is now priced at 109.00 $ !! 30$ increase for a "normal" fan ? I have a Honeywell TurboForce fan that is powerful and quiet. And it cost 29.99$ regular price! And on sale it's 21.99$ ! How can a similar fan be 80$ more expensive just because it has Ridgid battery power feature ? Thanks, but no thanks. I'll pass. 80$ was a bit pushed, but I still was interested. I was waiting for a sale, I would have paid somewhere around 60$... But this 30$ increase to 109$ is literally an insult.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed. Buy it! Back country campers and outdoor enthusiasts, purchased for canoe camping, tenting, anywhere you don’t have power and it’s hot! Battery lasted all night on lower setting, fan has significant power, fairly quiet and works well to get the fire going when it’s a struggle. We have two batteries that we charge in the vehicle on road trips. Keeps the mosquitos away at the fire. It was my “luxury item” and was worth it. We had two batteries for the drill, so that was not an added expense.

We recently went to the US for certification testing where they had to spend a long time in their crates in extremely how weather. The fans worked all day and kept our dogs cooled enough so they could work all through the day.
