how do i get the battries replaced?

You need to contact Ridgid and they will give you a contact number for a service center in your area. Apparently Home Depot is now able to do warranty work for the tools as well but I recommend calling Ridgid first as you will need your customer service number or a copy of your receipt.

Is Saskatoon covered by the LSA and is it lifetime?

Does the LSA include battteries, charger and drill? Also how many batteries does it come with? What is the difference between the 3 year warranty and the LSA?

The LSA covers batteries in kits. For some reason batteries sold separate are not eligible for the LSA. Combo kits come with a different number of batteries depending on the kit you are purchasing. The number of batteries should be listed in the product description. The difference between the LSA and 3 year warranty is that the LSA is not a warranty. While the 3 year warranty will cover the tool regardless of who owns them, the LSA is an agreement between the original purchaser and the company that goes beyond three years. The agreement states so long as you own the tool they will warranty the tool for you beyond the original three years. Keep in mind in order for the agreement to be in effect, you must register your tools and send in the proper paperwork.

Quality of Rigid 18V X4 Batteries In Question

Reviews of Rigid 18V cordless Drill batteries seem to be questionable as to the quality. Either Really Good or Really Unacceptable/Unreliable. Could you give a reason for such a major difference. Lifetime replacement doesn't help at all if there's no reliability? Who wanst to wait to get a battery in the mail to finish a job! This puts a very large ? as to which brand you can trust!

STORE SALESPERSON SAID DRILL HAS LIFETIME WARRANTY IF REGISTERED AT TIME OF PURCHASE IS THIS CORRECT

It is a "Lifetime Service Agreement" (LSA) and not a "Lifetime Warranty". A warranty travels with the tool and will be honoured regardless of ownership but the LSA is an agreement with the original registrar of the tools. If you register the tools within the three month time frame your tools will be covered and repaired, replaced etc for as long as "you" own the tools. This also covers any batteries that are in the combo kit. If you do not register for the LSA then the tools are covered under the three year warranty.
