RIDGID introduces the 18V Hybrid Folding Panel Light (Tool-Only). This light can be folded backwards for 360° light output and also used as a bright panel light for specific areas. It puts out a powerful 2500 Lumens in every direction. On its lowest setting it can run up to 14 hours on a single 5.0 Ah battery charge (battery not included). It can also be plugged into an outlet to never run out of power. Backed by the Industry Leading Lifetime Service Agreement, the 18V Hybrid Folding Panel Light includes an operator's manual. Battery, charger, and ac adaptor sold separately.

I may need to work for 8-16 hours a day so having something that's simply "rechargeable" wasn't good enough...I need to be able to kill the battery & just swap it out & keep on going. With this working on the same batteries as my other 18v tools this was exactly what I was looking for! And when people say bright you have no clue how incredibly BLINDING this thing is when it's on it's highest setting! And with the side panels being able to bend & move independently does an amazing job at removing all of the shadows in a room. This product was very well thought out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great even light output This light is solid and functional. Is it bright? Yes, very. It covers a wide area much like a flood light. Is it not a direct beam of light like a spotlight. Being able to adjust the light output is nice and is easily controlled by a rotary dial around the off and on switch. Using Ridgids tripod or any with a 1/4-20 mount would help getting the light on plane with your eyes but on the floor is great. The handle design...or lack of handle...is one issue and should be addressed. It is hard to pick up with one hand from the floor as there is no positive surface to grab. It can be hung from a wire or nails but not from a 2xlumber. Seems odd to me. Otherwise, it is a great light and I use it constantly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great bench work light I own 2 of these as they are great as they have a variety of options for mounting/hanging over my work benches. They are certainly bright enough for bench work and I used both of mine for studio photo/video shoots which I was doing. The Barn door folding lights let you spread the light to nearly 360˚ if you need. They have a dimmable control but I always use them at full power! They don't get hot and are solidly built. The fact that they plug into the mains or take a normal Ridgid 18v battery is fabulous. By the way, don't take notice of the length of time they claim that the battery lasts - it's about 30 minutes for a 4.0Ah at Full power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OUTSTANDING LIGHT I have used the light for 1 month and been doing lighting and electrical repairs in a garage that has no windows, plenty of light. I had to work a day under a building without lights built in... NO PROBLEM for this light. I have used battery for up to 5 hours... outstanding performance, it is also dimmable to help conserve battery life if you are working near the light. You can hang it many (standing on base, rotating around, hand from wall stud from a nail, hang on a wire, and a lot of different built-in ways) different ways, as well as plug it in to line power when it is available.

I have had multiple issues with the validation of the LSA for ridgid products and spent a good deal of money mailing in my receipts certified mail for confirmation. 4x checking the serial numbers and receipt codes. Still issues.

I bought this with the tripod I immediately mounted it and put a 5 amp battery in turned it on the highest setting and left it for almost 3.5 hours and when it was almost drained it flashed to let me know. I will be buying another soon. I used it on the job it was like working in daylight. I set it on the back of the truck and it was knocked off and bounced a few times it still works and doesn't have mark on it. having the option to plug it in makes this the perfect tool for the job site. I highly recommend buying the tripod.

It's listed at up to 2500 lumens and that is quickly apparent once you turn up the brightness to max. We used it to light up the driveway for some basketball. This did a better job of providing clean, useful light than my normal outdoor house lights. It also has a high quality feel. Nothing feels cheap. I like how it folds up making it easy to transport and also protecting the lens. It's easy to manipulate to get the right angle or light coverage. It also has the ability to mount to the Ridgid tripod. Battery life was strong using my 4 Ah battery. A couple hours of usage only took away 1 bar on the battery and that was at full brightness. You can also plug in a power cord if you are low on batteries, which is a nice addition. I like this light. Great for construction, home remodeling, painting, etc. but also for family fun and late outdoor work. I recommend.

You can't touch a photography LED light panel like this in photography for less than several hundred dollars and they are not as well made. Plus being covered by the LSA once you register it.. This is a no brainer.. AC powered and also Battery Powered.. What are you waiting on..

No, RIDGID could not know the length of cord one would need. Three prong cords are inexpensive, purchase a length that fits your needs. Whatever length of cord RIDGID could provide folks would complain either it is too short or too long.

So far it works well. Provides a lot of light. I expressed some gripes in my initial review. So far I am happy with the lights performance. Beats the heck out of the old halogen lights I bought it to replace. Doesn't put of near the heat. The battery is very convenient. I am considering getting a second one.

The panels hinge in and out (the fold out from covering the main panel (protecting it when moving, etc) and can rotate outward to go back to covering a good chuck of the area to the sides and some behind the light. See my photo attached. If you came up with a different way to mount the light you might be able to adjust the side to side to being up and down but the hinge area only goes in and out (not up and down).
