Went online to make a claim they told me my registration wasn’t complete, that’s because it’s impossible to complete. Just like the router below just purchased a month ago still can’t register online. Nothing worse then a manufacturer or a retailer not standing behind what they sell

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make sure you register for the Warranty Great drills with long battery life. You need to register for the warranty so do it shortly after your purchase. I didn't do that the first time around and thought my receipt was going to be good enough.

I bought this because of the life time warranty and i am afraid that i'll run out of time before it can be registered. Anyone else have these problems?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not for small hands This combo works great however the grip size is a little large for my small hands (5' tall woman). I have not used it for long periods of time and I suspect the grip would be uncomfortable. I ordered it online as a replacement for my old 18V cordless Ryobi (which had a smaller, easier to manage grip) and I am not sure that I would have picked it if I held it before buying.

Is the lifetime service agreement covers the battery when battery dies? Assuming i have it succesfully register it.

From what I was told by Ridgid Canada that the batteries are only warrantee'd for 3 years. And u can't register them, u just have to make sure u keep your receipt. I bought 2 batteries in Jan and inquired why I couldn't register them and that's when they said only 3 years!

what are the differences between the drill/driver in this kit, and the one in kit#R96021? This one does not appear to have an work illumination LED, but does show the 2.0 batteries are "hyper-li" The drill/driver in the above kit shows a LED on the handle

The 18V Drill/Driver in both kits have the same specs (4-pole open frame, 535 inch lbs. of torque, 2-Speed Transmission,1/2-inch single sleeve ratcheting chuck, etc.) The only key difference is one has an LED front light to help illuminate work spaces. What are the important differences between this “regular” 18 volt drill and impact tool , compared with the similar “X4” and “Gen 5X” units that are substantially more costly ?

Hi Icemen, Thanks for reaching out to us. A normal 18V Drill/driver is great for many projects and jobs. This type of tool can be used within several trades such as; wood-working, plumbing, electrical, and more. A Impact driver (tool) will have a hex bit intake that is stronger than a normal twist chuck. Impact drivers (x4 or 5x) are higher in torque and will produce more power when needed. Hey Ralph1, There was a promotion a while ago with the kit. Customer who purchased it during the promotion would receive an additional RIDGID 18V battery.
