Rated 3 out of 5 by from Accessory Documentation poor Vacuum is excellent, but comes with only one tool. There is no documentation on the box what size hose comes with the tool. Additional accessories come in a few sizes and the stores I went to had these all mixed up in the bins they were supposed to be in. Took multiple trips to store to fully equip the unit with all necessary accessories.The manual does not specify the hose diameter either. Additional extension tubes which come with most other vacs are not included. Total cost to outfit this tool is greater than their more powerful vacs which come with many more accessores standard. Seems a lot to pay for a portable in light of above.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not fit most 2.5" RIGID vacuums I took the description at its word that it would fit my RIGID vacuum which uses a 2.5" hose. The attachment point to the vacuum base is larger and needs a step down to the hose size. That is how it was on the original 7' hose. There were 3 adapters but not one for my model which is probably the majority configuration of RIGID shop vacuums currently in use. Way to go Home Depot, my first mistake was investing in your house brand! If you as a customer have the vacuum pictured or similar model, this will not have the proper attachment included in the box for your model. It is not sold seperately either. What a dissapointment, what a waste of time and what a run around trying to get some answers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on my 1990's Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac I have a 1990's era Craftsman wet/dry vac, Model 113.177490, that came with a 2-1/2" hose using 2-1/4" tips. Although this hose is noticeably thinner walled that the OE hose, it works almost perfectly. The part number for my manufacturer discontinued vac hose was 9-17820. The only issue, and it is very minor, is that the pre-assembled end of this hose has a locking adapter (part #3 in the product photo above) pre-installed on one end. It is not tapered like the Craftsman hose tip and relies on a lock to hold. No worries. Two wraps of clear packing tape fixed it. Note that the other end of the hose, when fitted with the included friction adapter (part #2 in the product photo), works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good deal This is the same as the original hose that comes with the bigger RIDGID shop vacs. My original one lasted several years, pretty good. I tried the more expensive one because it looked more rugged, but this cheaper one works waaaayyy better! It's bigger in diameter and lets the vacuum perform better. Plus, this one is very light weight. Definitely get this one if you have a large, high-performance shop vac.

Due to the amazing performance of our Ridgid wet/dry vac we were able to clean everything up and prevent any further water damage. The extra hose now allows us to reach almost every part of our basement without having to move the main vac unit. From my experiences, I highly recommend the Ridgid brand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t Need A Dust Collector After scouring the internet and researching whether or not to buy an actual dust collector, I opted to pick up the Ridgid 6.0 vacuum. Since the largest dust port I have is only a 2” on my miter saw, I felt the 4” port on a dust collector would essentially be overkill. And I think I was right! I know I wasn’t wrong getting the Ridgid instead!! It’s far exceeded my expectations, although I did upgrade to the Hepa filter before first use to aid in eliminating as much of the fine airborne dust as possible. If you’re thinking of using a shop vacuum for your home shop, think about getting this one. It does work!

I bought this to replace a broken hose and tool adapter for my Craftsman 5HP Shop VAC. I was concerned about the size of the hose fitting and the intake on the head of the shop vac. The inside diameter of my shop vac intake is 2-1/4" diameter. This hose is advertised as a 2-1/2" diameter hose, but that must be the outside diameter because it fits like a glove on my shop vac. I was also able to retro fit one of the fittings (the one with the red hose lock on it) to my shop vac intake and can now take advantage of the hose lock (on the hose) which allows me to drag the shop vac around without the hose popping off...something that always drove me crazy.

No it will not fit. Even though the hose is 21/2 the end is only 21/4. If your vac is 12 years old like mine the inlets for suction and exhaust are 25/8. I have the 12 gallon model with the suction and exhaust are on the upper section of the vac and not on the tub.

can I remove an end to shorten the hose?

The ends are pre-formed and a bit larger in diameter than the hose, and there's no easy way to shorten it. The ends do come out though. I cut mine and then tried to reattach the end when I got a hole in the hose. It was almost impossible to get the end into the hose because the hose diameter is smaller. I ended up making a lengthwise cut and then used a giant zip-tie to secure it. It kept falling out, so I just bought a new hose. It might work for you if you're just using on a fixed machine that doesn't move around.

I am getting an electric shock every time I touch the metal canister. It’s annoying when I walk past it and my leg brushes it, shock every time. Do they all do that?? If I exchange it will the new one do that as well??

This hose comes with a red locking adapter that you will need in order for the hose to fit your WD16360 vac.
