Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love that the rubber piece pops out for cleaning.... I love that the rubber piece pops out for cleaning. Actually discovered this by accident as I was cursing all the hair that got trapped on it. You just pop it out, pull it apart, rinse, snap it back together, and pop it back in place! Brilliant! I used it on both carpet and hard surfaces and got great suction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t Need A Dust Collector After scouring the internet and researching whether or not to buy an actual dust collector, I opted to pick up the Ridgid 6.0 vacuum. Since the largest dust port I have is only a 2” on my miter saw, I felt the 4” port on a dust collector would essentially be overkill. And I think I was right! I know I wasn’t wrong getting the Ridgid instead!! It’s far exceeded my expectations, although I did upgrade to the Hepa filter before first use to aid in eliminating as much of the fine airborne dust as possible. If you’re thinking of using a shop vacuum for your home shop, think about getting this one. It does work!

Why this model don’t have a ground prong on the cable every time I hook my circular sander shocks my self hard

Asked by: Luigui
Hello Luigui, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. Our double insulated vacuum design doesn’t have a grounding wire. In addition, while we’re not certain where you’re located, vacuuming sawdust or fine dust in dry humidity area will generate a static charge due to the dust passing through the plastic hose. Having a double insulated or grounded system will not stop the plastic hose from generating a static field. You could add moisture to the air or weak work gloves as an insulator. If you have further questions or concerns, you may call Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or email us at info@ridgidvacs.com Thank you, RIDGID Customer Support

What is the diameter of the drum, and what is the width overall including the wheels is?

Asked by: ChaseHeadrick
The metal drum is 15 and a quarter inches across With the plastic pieces for the wheels it comes out to 18 in across If you stick a tool on to the plastic pieces for the wheels they will hang out another one and three-quarter inches which would make it 21 and 1/2 in across

This is for the 10-gallon wet/dry vac #WD10500 and 10600. The vac seems to have lost suction, but the exhaust is strong. No obstruction in hose or tubes. Is there supposed to be a gasket between the lid and top of the unit?

Asked by: Gary G
Mine has a rubber/silicone O ring. Used mine in only dry conditions. I could see how it might wear over time. Contact RIDGID to see if they can send you a gasket

I assembled the vacuum and when I went to use it the first time I couldn’t figure out how to get it to vacuum instead of blow.  I don’t have the hose hooked up to the blower.  What am I doing wrong?

Asked by: Lu Ann
I'm sure you must have figured out there are two nozzles on the vacuum. One sucks air in and one blows it out. Your host can attach to either but the effect is either blowing out or vacuuming in. The only thing I can think of is that you attached the hose to the wrong nozzle?
