This RIDGID 34 Litre (9 Gallon) High Performance Wet Dry Vacuum is designed for DIYers and Pros who want a traditionally styled, compact shop vacuum that delivers the powerful performance and rugged durability. This RIDGID vacs 34 litre (9 gallon) drum size results in a more compact design that requires less storage space on a service truck or in a work shop or garage. And its top carry handle makes transporting easier than ever. Accepts high efficiency dust bags that keep the inside of the drum clean, allowing for no mess debris disposal. It features the Patented Qwik Lock Filter Fastening System that makes installing or removing your filter quick, easy, and secure. The 1-7/8 in. (4.8 cm) by 7 ft. (2.1 m) Tug-A-Long locking hose provides uninterrupted cleaning by locking onto the vac and wont pull loose during use. Perfect for general use around the home, car, garage or shop. Accommodates all RIDGID 1-7/8 in. (4.8 cm) diameter accessories.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy shop vac I love the shop vac, its been really handy for random projects, most importantly cleaning my blinds. The wide floor brush attachment proved to be the victor against the mighty dust mites and bunnies. Never had to take them down to clean all 12 windows. The only drawback for the 9 gallon Shop-Vac that I purchased is that there are more accessories for the hose attachment for the 12 gallon size. (For example there isnt a circle shaped brush attachment or a 2-in slotted crevice tool for car cleaning available for purchase, the hose diameters change with the different vacs)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful Wet Vac! I bought this vacuum for wet pick-up only because I have other shop vacuums for dry pick-up. It works well for removing water from concrete floors. But it even picked-up water-soaked Vermiculite (was being used for attic insulation) from a shag carpet. Wow, was I impressed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, But Not As Powerful As Expected It's suction power is a little disappointing, probably due to its oversized diameter hose and extension tubes. Bigger isn't always better. The power cord is quite short for a shop device and that becomes annoying. For sawdust, you must use a bag (not included!) or the filter will quickly load up and suction power will decrease quickly. It does have adequate room for generic bags purchased for my old ShopVac, but they do require a little modification to fit. Conclusion: if you can't find a genuine ShopVac, this will do with addition of an extension cord and an internal dust bag.

I cannot get the caster stem to go into the socket--the socket seems too small for the caster stem and caster ball.

It takes a lot of force to get it to seat. Be sure to hold the bracket with your hand while pushing the caster in. You will hear a snap when it seats.

Are the motors brushless?

Is there a hose of some type to connect to the discharge . It&rsquo;s a good product but very heavy when full . Maybe a hose with a cap on its end .

Do you need a different filter for wet use?

Hello Tommycola, Thank you for your inquiry about our product. You can use the original filter for picking up small amounts of liquid (2 - 4 inches (5 - 10 cm) of liquid in the bottom of the drum). When picking up larger amounts of liquid (more than 4 inches (10 cm) of liquid in the bottom of the drum) we recommend that the original filter be removed. Have an old 9 gal shop vac. Model# WN09450. Does a dust filter bag fit this model???
