Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tile saw I don't have a single complaint about this tile saw. Nothing else can touch this saw for $300.00 and that included the stand. I have read a couple of reviews that didn't rate it high but I assume they were full time tilers and could justify spending $2-3,000.00 for a saw. I am not a tiling professional but do the occasional tile job. I used a table top tile saw before it was nothing but frustration. I highly recommend this saw. Why spend $50.00 less for a table top tile saw?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design not well thought out This saw is garbage! The table wobbles extremely bad, blade wobbles because of play in the arbor shaft. Even with a T3 Razor triple threat blade this saw is not for the professional. I bought this saw for job sites where I was only using small tile like doing back splash work but after using it once that was enough for me. I bought the new 10" ridgid saw called the beast and promptly returned it to. Very dissipointed in ridgid on there wet saw. In the end I bought a brand new M.K. Diamond 101. Pro 24 yes it was very close to $2000 but when your doing 15-20 thousand dollar custom showers perfection is a must. Sorry ridgid you dropped the ball this time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from garbage product Purchased this product a year ago, thinking it would be handy. Recently used it for a tile project. The rolling tile bed has way to much wiggle room, resulting in potentially a quarter inch difference on larger tile, and no way to calibrate. Rigid Shame on you for building such a garbage product for the diys'ers who spend a fortune on materials only to get a garbage outcome with your garbage product. This is the second Rigid tool I've purchased and also the last. Rigid You should change your company name to LIMP. If you want your project to look like you built it yourself than buy this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best value For $199 including stand and blade, this can't be beat. Needs minor tweaking to square blade and laser, as well as to set the index of the table measurement guide, but once dialed in, this cut through 3/8" porcelain tiles like butter. Was even able to cut 3/4" wide strips with perfect accuracy and almost perfectly smooth edges. The only fault, if you can call it that, is the position of the tub drain outlet, which is directly over the stand leg, making catch bucket placement difficult. It does spray/drip slightly so best to use in garage or outdoors. Compared to my old table top unit, this makes tiling a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw for the price This saw is fantastic for the price. I'd buy it again. Pros: - Extremely stable and consistent cuts (I cut tile up to 14 inches, I have no experience with longer cuts on this saw). - No chipping when using a good blade (the blade that comes with the saw isn't stellar) - Laser guide works well and is accurate out of the box - The table is easy to square if needed, but comes square out of the box. Cons: - The blade that comes with the saw isn't the best - The there is a fair bit of splashing from the saw, but no more than to be expected I would definitely buy this saw again, it has worked extremely well. For people saying this saw is garbage there are a few things to respond with: - Pros should probably be buying professional grade tools (this is a light duty saw). So if you really think you're a pro, get the right tool. Similarly if you're cutting huge tiles, you might want to rent a bigger saw. - The saw comes with a detailed instruction manual, read it. It tells you how to square it if it's off. It isn't that hard. So that's it, this saw is perfect for the DIY that is looking for a solid tool that they can use on multiple projects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super saw - especially if you get it on sale I bought this on sale for under $200 CDN and used it for a complete floor to ceiling and floor bath Reno. Great saw for the money and takes little to dial in. Right side of included Ridgid saw blade cut cleaner and with a little clean up with a hand held diamond sanding block it is darn close to a factory finished cut. I was cutting 12x24 inch porcelain tile with out problems and very neatly. The included miter attachment takes some effort to get set right because when tightening it down it will lose the angle set up... that is the only negative aspect of this little powerhouse tile saw in my opinion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good saw for the money This saw worked very well for cutting stacked stone panels for a fireplace surround. It easily cut through material up to 1 and 1/2 inches thick. As others have mentioned, there is some play in the sliding table when making long rips where the front wheels are off the track. Also the drain hole position...what were they thinking?! I attached a short piece of hose to the drain hole and capped off the hose before filling the reservoir. Then I just uncapped and directed the hose into a bucket when it was time to drain. Worked well with way less mess. I am not a professional, but thought this was a good saw for the money for DIY.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Definitely Not Professional Grade But Passable I bought this yesterday to specifically cut (RIP) 12" X 24" porcelain tiles. Assembly instructions are not perfect but I figured out what to do by analyzing the constituent parts and the all too small illustrations. Once assembled, I did some test cuts and found that the saw cannot cleanly and accurately rip 24" tiles as there is some deflection for roughly the first one to two inches of the over hanging tile that is not supported by the sliding table resulting in a wider cut line that becomes more accurate and narrower (blade width) once the tile advances and is better supported by the table. I recommend a longer supporting sliding table be considered.

Can the included blade cut porcelain tiles?

I'm getting noticeable chipping on a high quality ceramic tile, 12x24. Just bought the saw the brand new. What am I doing wrong? Water pump is set to max and I'm pushing the tile very slowly.

Asked by: Nick D
I tried a number of blades, pushing incredibly slowly, pre-soaking the tile, nothing worked. I would get smoke and sparks just with the blade in the kerf, not even cutting. Changed the water pump to a 50 gph pump and now it works great. Really unfortunate that the pump that came with it was undersized and probably faulty.

I have some 8x48 porcelain tile, can I cut these width-wise to make 8x24" on this saw or will it bump into the saw's mount while pushing it through?

Asked by: Hudson
I don't think it'll work...you will hit the mount. You could possibly do it by turning the tile and cutting from both sides but that'll be difficult to make perfect clean cuts. I'd recommend using the smaller Ridgid table tile saw.

The water nozzles project the water AWAY from the blade. As a result the blade is dry and smoking when I try to use it. How to adjust the nozzles...manual not helpful. Thanks

Asked by: toolgal
This might be too late, but I had the same issue, Changed to a 50 GPH pump and it worked great after. The pump that comes with the unit is very undersized and faulty.
