Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it! There must be a lot of people who really don't like Ridgid out there. I read the reviews and almost didn't buy this saw. I have used this saw a lot for the past few months and have had no Robles with the blade falling out of the chuck. My advice is if you don't know how to use a tool properly, read the manual. I have had a great experience using Ridgid tools so far, and this saw is no exception. Follow their instructions to obtain warranty and it's worth the work. This saw is comfortable in the hand, not too heavy and cuts nice and smoothly. I use diablo blades in it and it works like a charm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design This saw has good power and features, the lifetime warranty is also very good. Unfortunately the saw does not function well. It will not hold a blade in the chuck, and the blades will continuously pop out of the saw under load. After spending more time fetching blades out of the kerf than actually cutting, I returned the saw and bought a Milwaukee. A much better design, and if you can live without the lifetime warranty, the price point was only $12 more for the Milwaukee. Do not buy this saw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good thing it has a lifetime warranty Everything I have a project and go to find this saw it is in the shop being repaired. I get it back only for the same issues to happen again and send it back to the shop. Anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks for a repair. I will never buy another rigid tool. Lifetime warranty isn't worth the headaches and you need to have a spare on hand anyway.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blade Falls Out I bought this saw this morning from Home Depot, and almost immediately the blade fell out while in use. I was cutting 3/32" steel that is used to form the walls of a swimming pool. There is lots of power but NO GOOD IF THE BLADE KEEPS FALLING OUT! I would NOT recommend this recipricating saw. Have decided to return to the store and purchase a Milwaukee recip. saw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good Blade won't stay in when saw really starts to work. Reading other reviews on different sites it became apparent that a lot of other people were having these issues. Sounds like the issue is one of a design flaw rather than one of defect. Was very happy with Home Depot in allowing me to exchange the saw on a Milwaukee of which I am very pleased with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light , powerful...just one problem... The chuck for the blade is terrible....blades fly off....doesnt engage well. Also when making side cuts it can dislodge the blade. Great little saw for home owners but wouldn't Recommend for tradesman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value I have had this saw for over a year and it has been very handy. Well made and cuts through everything. Fun to use too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just removed an entire wall with this beast I'd left my Ryobi sawzall at another site and didn't have time to go get it, so decided to nip over to HD and upgrade. They were out of stock on the Bosch unit that I'd had my eye on, and I've enjoyed ever other Rigid tool I've bought, so picked this guy up. It's actually more compact than the Bosch with a 9amp versus 12amp motor, but coupled with a Diablo demolition blade, he made light work out of removing an entire framed wall, bulkhead, drywall including metal bead, and cut through countless nails without me really knowing they were there. This is a comfortable tool, both to hold and in terms of vibration, and feels well made with plenty of motor torque that has yet to get bogged down (unlike my Ryobi). The included tool bag is a nice touch. I'd actually rate it 4.5 stars, but don't have that option to I'd rather rate it 5 and hope people read my review and find it useful. The Bosch is slightly more comfortable, but not as compact, and would likely have a bit more power and is $20 cheaper at the time of writing, but this would be a lovely addition if you already have other Rigid tools and i can't see how you'd go wrong, especially if you can find it on sale.
