Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good vacuum It’s appear to be a well made vacuum except for the cover’s clams who look fragile

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great power for what i need. i bought this to assist in dryer vent cleaning. It works awesome for me. Lots of power. Only issues i have is the hose is not very maneuverable and could be a little longer. Being stainless steel and using it for what I do, it produces alot of static electricity. So I am constantly getting shocked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong power Feels almost as strong as the vacuums at the car wash. The double batteries let it run for a long time . Very light and easy to move around.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good shop vac Good shop vac with plenty of power. Hose larger than anticipated and sometimes hard to handle. Wheels need to be bigger so they don't hang up so much on debris common to a work area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome power! So glad I have this in my arsenal of tools! The family loves to use this vacuum for cleaning their vehicles, the garage, the shed (that has no power) and anywhere else they take it. The fact that you can take this vacuum anywhere and not worry about an outlet is amazing. Great tool at a great value.

Batteries.      How long do they last.     On my shop vac.    It’s about 20 minutes.

    Asked by: Ton Ton
Hello Ton Ton, Thank you for asking. The run time of the vacuum depends on the battery installed. For example, with one 9Ah battery, the vac may run for 27 to 31.5 minutes and 54 to 63 minutes with two 9Ah batteries. If you have additional questions, you may call our Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time and we'll be glad to assist you. Thanks, RIDGID

Hhaving problems with caster/caster foot assembly. Directions difficult to follow.

    Asked by: Cathy79
Hello Cathy79, Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry for the inconvenience. On the bottom of the caster foot there are two holes, one in the nipple or stem that slides in the vac and the other in the near center of the foot. The center hole (looks like a spider web) is the hole that the wheels go into. We suggest that you try to assemble the caster and foot first before attaching the foot to the bottom of the drum so that you can apply more pressure by pressing it against the floor as you go. If the caster foot is pre-installed to the bottom of the drum, you can remove it first by stepping on it while lifting the drum up. Once removed, insert the metal stem of the caster into the caster foot, try to rotate and push it in at the same time with your whole body weight into it. When you hear a clicking sound, it is the sign that the wheel is already locked in place. You may also use a rubber mallet to make sure you attached it thoroughly. If you have further questions or concerns, you may call Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or email us at info@ridgidvacs.com Thank you, RIDGID Customer Support

How do I change the filter??

    Asked by: iamron
Hello iamron, Thanks for asking. To remove the filter, Hold the filter tabs of the Qwik Lock™ filter in each hand.. With one thumb on the Qwik Lock™ stud, which protrudes through the integrated filter plate, lift up on the filter tabs while pushing down on the stud. This action will cause the filter to release from the filter cage. Slide filter off cage. To install it back, Carefully slide the Qwik Lock™ filter over the filter cage and press down on the outside edge of the filter until the rubber gasket on the bottom of the filter seats securely around the base of the filter cage and against the lid. Align the small center hole in the top of the filter over the Qwik Lock™ stud on the filter cage. Press firmly on top of the filter near the stud to allow the filter to snap over the ball on the end of the stud. I bought this vacuum a couple of years ago and haven’t had a problem until recently. It seems to have lost suction. I change the filter cleaned out the tank and check the hose. When I attach a different hose it seems to work a little better but not great

    Asked by: Bridget
Hello Bridget, Thanks for writing us a review and we’re sorry to have learned your disappointment. There are number of reasons why your vac may have reduced suction power. We recommend that you check the following: Make sure that the float is freely moving, and the power head is properly seated on the drum. Lastly, check the hose's condition to make sure there are no holes or tears on it. If you need further assistance, you may call our Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or send us an email at info@ridgidvacs.com and we'll be glad to assist you.
