It comes with everything you need to get started, including hose, 7 accessories and a bag. With the large container, it's great for getting leaves without having to empty all the time like smaller models. It comes with casters so moving it around your work area it a breeze. The other great thing about this is its Full lifetime warranty against material defects and workmanship.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My floor care people have used the Ridgid 12 gal vac for a couple years. They use it to suck up wax stripper and wax off of a VCT floor. Although it needs to cleaned after every use, because the product dries and will clog everything, it never ever fails to deliver! Once a week, this vacuum takes a beating and comes back swinging. Besides the attachments shown, there are more available and at a reasonable price. Leaf blower? Can not wait to try that out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this vacuum to build a dust collection cart for my shop. I have another Ridgid shop back in the garage that’s lasted you for years and I expect this one to do the same. The motor isn’t too loud and the suction is excellent. It’s really a brilliant idea as well to add the blower feature. I’ve done it in the past with hooking up the hose to the outlet on the back of the vacuum but it’s never quite the same. This leaf blower attachment puts out a ton of their air and will easily move the biggest pile of leaves. You never think somebody was going to be able to make an improvement to just a plain old vacuum but I think Ridgid come up with a great idea here. The clip on tools is great as well allows you to pull the vacuum around the shop without continuously unplugging the hose.

I've had 4 different shop Vacs in my life and this is easily the best one I've had. 3 years ago I purchased another brand from Lowes and it works fine for my bead blast cabinet but I hated it for the shop floor. Always coming apart, hoses separating, really noisy, not ideal. This one has locking connections. Why doesn't everyone do that? Rigid also has lots of accessories and lots of places to carry those accessories. Bonus is the thing turns into a blower and where I live you don't need a mower, you need a blower. Love this Vac!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Holy overachieving shop vacs! I'm impressed! This RIDGID NXT (model HD1260) 12 gallon, 6.0 peak HP, wet/dry vac with detachable blower came with nearly everything I needed to get to work. Sure there are a few extras I want to get, for example, a muffler/diffuser, but the accessories required for general use are all included. In true RIDGID fashion, all the hoses and nozzles lock together so nothing pops apart while vacuuming. For our basement 12 gallons was just the right size, and 6-peak HP is a lot of suction! I’m also really pleased with storage on the vac, which was well thought out. Between the powerhead’s chord storage, the accessory caddy, and storage on the casters, everything can be neatly organized. And there’s still one spot left for another accessory nozzle. While the 20’ power cable, which is likely added for purposes of the blower, is still too short to blow our entire patio clean, it’s an added benefit to the shop vac... it’s like having a built in extension chord. The detachable blower/powerhead isn’t something I expected to use; however, it’s pretty convenient to have as a backup. Since the blower doesn’t have an adjustable speed trigger (it’s a switch so either on or off), it provides the exhaust of the 6-peak HP vac motor at full throttle (143 CFM). It’s good for small jobs like ridding the patio of maple helicopters and cleaning the driveway. The powerhead/blower weighs about 8 lbs and that includes the chord. With the typical RIDGID lifetime warranty and everything that comes with it, this vac/blower is a winner in my book!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been impressed with this shop/vac. I have used it to vacuum the car, the house and odd spots on the outside of the house. For the car, the attachments did a good job of getting into all the cracks as well as the main body of the carpet. For the house, it was the same. Where I have found this really useful is vacuuming out the vents and drains on the outside of the house. It gets all the leaves, rocks and debris which keeps the vents and drains open. For the blower part, this works well, I have a gas blower and so I can’t see using the blower of the shop vac but for someone without a separate blower, this would be a good option. It comes with a lot of attachments and extra bags. It seems like a good product for a good value. The cord is long, and the vacuum is powerful. The only drawback I see is choosing which attachment to use (which isn’t really a drawback). The attachments all fit on the caddie somewhere which is convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice shop vac. that has a lot of nice features to it and one that I have not seen on any other shop vac. and that its the ability to also use it as a blower to blow leaves or clean walks after doing the yard mowing. It comes with many different attachments 4 in all and the hose is 2 1/2 inch diameter which is plenty large enough for a great suction. The wheels are also nice for moving the vac. and the filter comes with it so if you need a shop vac. do yourself a favor and pick yourself one up at the Home Depot, you will be glad that you did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from vacuum not durable . I have owned this vacuum for a little over 2 years and it has been sitting in my garage most of the time. Every now and then I got it out to vacuum the car. This week I have been remodeling the house and have been using it quite a bit till today. The thing started smoking and got very hot and quit working. I have been dumping the dirt out and blowing out the filter regularly. I think it was the bearings that went out because it over heated and quit. So I will not be buying another one for sure !

I have a flooded 12 x 12 room in my basement. Would this vac be strong enough to remove the water out of the carpet?

Would I need to purchase any other accessories for this particular job? Extra hoses, filters, etc.?

I've not actually used it for water pickup, but can tell you it's considerably more powerful than my old one and it picked up water very well. No additional attachments are necessary as the unit comes with a full set of attachments. It's a well built machine.

There are four Caster Feet that are equipped with storage holders for the wands. Each Caster Foot has a wheel that is well protected. Assembly is simple as the feet lock into position and they are held in place by a simple Philips Screw that can be attached by screwdriver

How loud is it during operation - how many decibels?

I used a iPad app (so who knows how accurate it is) and it measured the vacuum at about 73 decibels. I means nothing to me as when I use it the tool I am using is usually louder and I wear ear protection.
