Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy the other Rigid stand not this one I have the rigid mitre universal stand and really liked it but this stand came free with the saw and unfortunately it isn't worth much more than the zero I paid for it. It will work fine if you intend to keep the saw on the stand in one location but if you want to fold it up or move it, even a few feet this stand isn't very good. They tell you to take the saw off the stand to move it and then put it back on. My saw is 70 lb and requires two people to place it on the stand. The universal stand is much better built and allows you to not only move the saw but to also fold the stand with the saw attached to it and wheel it into a corner of the shop when you need more room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Stand for my Ridgid Mitre Saw I purchased this stand for my Ridgid mitre saw. As I am not transporting my mitre saw but wish to store the saw when not in use this was the perfect choice. Set up was a breeze. The stand and saw are well balanced. Well constructed for the price you are paying. After using it a couple of times I noticed that one of the welds on the material extended arm had given away. Naturally I would have dropped the star rating for this, but I called Ridgid’s customer service and there rep was nothing short of amazing! I had a replacement arm shipped and in my hands within the week and I live in rural Atlantic Canada! Well done Ridgid! On a side note, if you have a Ridgid shop vacuum with the car vacuum hose it fits perfectly on the Ridgid mitre saw.

One of the wheel attachments was welded on at an angle, the handle had misapplied rivet, and one of the rolling supports was welded together at an angle to the extensible shaft. One of the store employees was kind enough to swap the misaligned support but it is still not perfect because the shaft slot is not quite straight either. If I did not live so far from the store I would have returned it.

However the saw cannot be mounted on the stand in the storage position as the saw is too heavy and falls over (the foot cannot be extended far enough). So the stand is nice but to only mount the saw in the working position and must be removed for storage. Given the price similarities, it is surprising the AC9946 was not offered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Saw is way to big for the stand The saw stand came with my saw as part of a package deal. When I fold it up, the stand will not support the saw, it gets terribly unbalanced and has fallen a few times. It also makes storage really challenging.
