RIDGID Ash Vac Drum Filter prevents cold ash from escaping the drum for easy cleanup and disposal. The combination of the Ash Vac Drum Filter and the Fine Dust Filter (VF3500; sold separately), provide two levels of filtration where the Fine Dust Filter captures fine dust and debris, and the Drum Filter prevents cold ash from escaping into the air when you use your Ash & Grilling Vac (HDAV0500; sold separately). The Fine Dust Filter easily snaps onto the power head, allowing you to secure the Ash Vac Drum Filter inside the drum of your Vac. The black lip of the Drum Filter creates a suction seal, containing debris within the drum. The Fine Dust Filter must be used alongside the Drum Filter for dry pickups. Do not use the Ash Vac Drum Filter or the Ash Vacuum for wet pickups. The Ash Vac Drum Filter is washable and can be reused as needed. Refer to the owners manual for more details on filtration. If the Ash Vac Drum Filter shows any signs of rips or tears, replace it promptly.
