Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hour of power! I want my cash back. Obviously fake reviews cause I would give it a negitive 5! Since I bought this setup I've returned the battery and controller at my cost. You will get an hour of power using a 800 lum led bulb or recharge a laptop or phone or satellite radio! I tried a small TV for 10-12 min, it didn't make 15! This stuff is complete trash. The "support" was not helpful, the "instructions" are a few pages and brutal to understand. Once the battery is drained the "solar" won't recharge it so you need a charger unless you babysit the controller and manually shut the system down before it cuts out. When I delt with the company not 1 question was answered on settings, fault codes. Completely unsatisfied from the first day, I asked for a refund but half the value goes to restocking and shipping. They have insentivised upgrading then "resell" the used/broken/malfuctioning products. I was mislead by online reviews, the Ah of this product are nowhere close to whats advertised.

must this battery be kept above freezing , ie can it operate intemperatures below minus 10 celcius

Dear Dan, It can discharge between -20C-+60C but it can only be charged between 0C-+45C. We do have new battery coming out at the end of this year. HomeDepot has your 500W unit paired with a 1500W electric fireplace insert. Is this a realistic combination? How long might the battery last in this situation?

Dear Dennis, Our 500W 12V off grid system can provide peak power output 1000W for a very short period time so it will not work with electrical device requires more than 500W to work. If you would like to power 1500W electric fireplace, you need our 2000W 12 V off grid system minimum. It really depends on how long you need to run your fire place. If you would like to run the fire place 24/7, you will need more solar panels and more battery capacity especially in winter time. if you run 1500W electric fireplace 24 hour continuously, you will need 1500W X24 Hours=36000W power a day.
