Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product I only use Rustoleum products to refinish furniture now. I use the Chalked products along with others. The paint is reasonably priced, however the white takes many coats to cover. I don’t have coverage problems with the other colours. I’d suggest using a primer with the white Chalked. Easy to distress for a vintage look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chalk paint I bought this to repaint my desk and bed. So far I have only finished the desk. It’s great paint that dries fast and covers really well. As long as you go with the grain of the wood it has a pretty smooth finish. Also alittle paint goes along way so the price of it doesn’t seem so bad since it’s enough to finish a project or 2. Will definitely buy again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product I had no problems with the product. I think it works exactly how it is supposed to! you have to listen to the drying times and don't rush them. Have patients and your project will turn out great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I've used chalk paint before (Annie Sloan brand) and purchased this because of the price. After 4! coats I'm still not getting great coverage over a medium coloured wood. I'm really wishing I would have just spent the extra money and purchased the brand I know works great. Save yourself some frustration and pay the extra $20 for Annie Sloan chalk paint!

Steps I used are as follows (with lots of drying time in between): sand the tile with 150 grit sandpaper, deep clean, caulk the grout lines to disguise flaws (we had a lot of cracks in grout, 2 coats of Kilz bonding primer, 3 coats of base gray chalk paint, 1 coat of linen white chalk paint, then fine paint detailing to make the edges sharper since some of the paint bleeds through the stencil (I used a clean old makeup brush). I finished up with 3 coats of Satin finish polyurethane to protect everything. I used spray glue to try and prevent bleeding by spraying the stencil, then rolling on the white paint. Even though I used gorilla spray glue, I had some bleeding so I used the makeup brushes to clean up the edges. The glue was helpful; when I tried without it, the bleeding was much worse. Toward the end, I cut the Nagoya Tile Stencil to make getting around the nooks and crannies easier. If you have a little space you might want to buy two so you have one to trim down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Paint [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I refinish furniture and I am always using chalk paint and I was pretty impressed with this brand. It goes on easily unless the humidity is really low but nothing a little water in a spray bottle can't fix. A very smooth looking finish after drying and only used two coats on sanded wood. Comes in a quart can and I can paint a few projects with just one. Drying time is fairly quick as well also depending on humidity though. It sands down very smooth with little effort between coats for a better finish. I really like the overall finish look and feel. I will be using it more often.

I redid an entire hutch with this can of paint and it did not require any prior sanding or stripping. I just cleaned the hutch with warm soapy water before hand. The majority of the hutch took 2 coats, but I did have to run the brush over for 3 coats in a couple spots. Super easy to use!!!!!!!! Make sure to get a chalk paint brush, or a brush with natural brissels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish Great paint for furniture refresh. Requires multiple coats for desired look (3-4) but finishes lovely. Recommend pairing with the chalk paint topcoat.

I'm not very familiar with chalked paint. I'm planning a faux subway tile backsplash project. Would this be appropriate to use for the base layer (i.e. the 'faux' grout lines)?
Asked by: Marlene
I could see it being a good option since real grout has no sheen. This is a very flat paint.

Can I use this paint on a ceramic tile floor? And also what is its drying time?

Asked by: Peak
I don’t really know. I find the chalk paint scratches easily though.  It dried fairly quickly

I am about to redo all my bedroom furniture from the 80s. I want to use Linen White. It seems the biggest hint is to use a primer first. Can you recommend the proper primer?

Asked by: Ellie
Hi Ellie, We recommend priming wood with our Zinsser Cover Stain first to block the tannins that might bleed through. Afterwards you can topcoat with our Chalked Ultra Matte Paint in Linen White.
