Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap way to update! Worked great to cover laminate counters. Required 3-4 coats on dark counter and has strong fumes, but end result is great. Used foam roller, small dollar store brush to toss, mask, gloves, sanding block, painters tape. Store roller and brush in freezer between coats and sand and clean between coats.

Does this product have a strong smell? Can I paint this in winter when I am not able to open the windows ? I have seen on you tube and tiktok people painting this without a mask

It does. You would want an open window if possible or a way to seal off the room you are painting in. Wear a mask!

Can this be used on wood? I have a shelf unit made of knotty pine and want to hide the knotts.

Hi MrEz, Our Appliance Epoxy was designed for indoor metal surfaces only and we do not recommend it for wood. If blocking knots on indoor wood, we recommend priming with our Zinsser B-I-N Shellac Base Primer-Sealer and then topcoat with the colour paint of your choice.

I can't find the Tub and Tile Kit anywhere anymore, which I was going to use for tiles on my kitchen backsplash (a friend had successfully done that). Thinking this should be just as good, assuming it will stick to the ceramic (non-glossy) tiles.

I’d use tile stickers. You have to look really closely to see that it’s a sticker, and you can change them out if you want a new look. And obviously it’s a lot easier.

Tremclad is water resistant, but cannot tolerate full water immersion. It is not recommended for repairs to bathtubs, sinks, or shower stalls.

Probably not ideal, it doesn’t mention high-heat compatibility on the can. This enamel smells quite strong when it’s drying and I’d imagine that you’d get that odor every time the heater turns on.

Each town, and community has a different system in place for disposing of aerosol cans, and older paint products. Always check in with your city or municipality for disposal guidelines. Some hardware stores also offer free paint disposal. Speak with the paint manager of your local hardware store to see if they offer this service.
