Looked wonderful until the fabric started tearing on every chair :( they where perfectly fine beforehand I wish I would have never used this product because now I need to replace them all. Costing me way more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10/10 Had a very nice patio set, great cushions, swivel rockers, love seat, ottomans, but the fabric went from red to very light pink from sun exposure. Researched dyeing the fabric but came across this rust-oleum fabric paint on internet. Bought a can and tried it on one cushion. Several light coats worked wonders. So had to buy five more cans to complete the set. My patio set looks as good as new...literally. It feels very good too. It is dry for about 20 hours and feel relatively soft. I expect it will also get softer as they are used a bit. When nozzle gets clogged just run under warm water tap for 5 seconds and the spray comes back 100%. Make sure when spraying you do it properly, starting just away from the fabric and moving into it. 10/10 on this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great colour. Horrible canister. The colour looks great and it sticks very well to the cushions that I cleaned. Unfortunately, despite shaking constantly, the canister clogged before I could cover even half of one small chair seat cushion. I did wash it out with warm water but unfortunately it clogged again before I could finish the cushion. Very sad as I was excited about this and now need to determine if I will fight through getting all the cushions the same colour or give up halfway through this project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rip off I bought a can thinking it would be more environmentally friendly to keep using our cushions instead of buying new ones. One can covered the front of one chair cushion. So it will cost over $40 to paint each cushion. If they want people to not throw cushions out it should be cheaper than new. I do NOT recommend buying unless you want to spend a fortune on your used cushions.

I cleaned the spray nozzle repeatedly and the can would spray for a few seconds and then sputter. I am very dissatisfied with Rust-Oleum Outdoor Fabric Spray Paint in Blue.

Can this be used to spray paint carpet on outdoor front steps, and how many cans would it take for three steps and a landing?

Hi Slobo6, The Rust-Oleum Outdoor Fabric Paint is not recommended for areas that are subjected to foot traffic as it will not hold up properly.
