Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I’d Never Used This! I used this product this week to fix up a sink on our powder room vanity that was looking quite shabby. Wish I had of left it as is! Like a lot of the other reviewers, I followed the instructions to a T, plus I watched Youtube videos with people using it in home projects. I wish I had read the reviews here 1st! While the sink does look white, it feels all gritty like sandpaper. I used a whole can on the sink and there’s absolutely no shine. It looks and feels absolutely terrible! Was hoping to surprise my Husband by fixing up our sink but it was a total fail! We’ll have to replace it with a new vanity top at some point soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Go for the other one. Unfortunately, perhaps due to skill, I found the spray to run excessively on vertical parts of the tub. I tried to find just the right speed and distance to spray but it just wouldn't apply nicely. In the end, I re-sanded and purchased the roll on version which applied much better. Also, the smell from the spray version vs the roll/brush- on is much much worse (had open windows, and top of the line gas mask). I would avoid this product and go for the brush/roll on alternative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economical Sink Refacing! So easy to use and instantly changes a bathroom. I hate "bone" coloured sinks and have used this product to refinish two of them now. One can does one bathroom sink area easily. The first time I use the roll on option to do the tub surround and the sink and used the spray as the finishing layer and it seems to be a little more durable than just using the spray can which already has a couple chips in it after two months of use. I think I just needed to do thicker layers though. If you do too thin a layer is feels grainy to the touch but the thicker areas feel more like tile. Just be careful of thick layers on vertical surfaces as it began to run. Overall though I love this and would use it again and again. Very cheap solution to replacing a sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rust-Oleum Specialty - Rust-Oleum Tub & Tile Aeros I have used this white paint to seal the grout between the tiles above the bathtub. Previously the molds would always come back. After a good prep with some painter's tape and two applications of this paint, the result has been perfect after 8 months - no recurring molds whatsoever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from try anything once Read instructions. Did prep work. Have only spray painted some but wanted to refinish my old cast tub. took two and half cans, time and patience. I'm thrilled with how my do-it-yourself project looks. Make sure you open windows.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Perfect on its own, Combo it up. I have so much to say about this product. And a bunch to say about it's brother, the 2 part tub and tile epoxy. I started with the 2 part tub and tile, brush / roll on product. Doing a Tile / Grout / baked enamel tub I really wasn't happy with the way the brush roll version was working. I was getting brush marks. I was getting light spots. I was getting runs. Too light in the corners, too heavy in other spots. Frustrated I bought the spray cans. MUCH better. I'm actually getting product into the grout, i'm getting product into places I couldn't previously get it. All is well. Spray pattern was difficult, but was made much easier by a spray can handle. I'll admit, I did still get a couple runs. BUT this brings me to the finish..... and what makes me unhappy about the spray cans! No matter what I did, I could not get the same finish that I was achieving with the 2 part roll on product. It was smooth, shiny and HIGH gloss. The spray cans did a lot of dusting, over spraying, and now I have a finish which is half dull. The nozzle on the spray can wasn't wide enough to get a good pattern for doing a whole tub or shower surround. What i'm going to do, is re-purchase the 2 part epoxy, roll on. I am now going to achieve that high gloss finish I am after. My suggestion; which should also be suggested by Rustoleum.. Blast the corners, around the taps and grout lines with aerosol FIRST. Roll all your large surfaces with the 2 part Epoxy next. Beware!! When covering dark colors, you will easily need to double their estimated square footage. Buy a respirator for this job, and plan to leave the windows OPEN. Do not do it in the middle of winter. The respirator was cost effective, and absolutely made the job liveable. After all that, I still give it 4 stars. Because my 60's flower pattern tiles and purple tub are now white. I'm not fancy, just wanted a modern color. However, if you follow my process of Aerosol in all corners, roll the large surfaces, and wear a respirator your project will go well. The prep was the most important part of the project. Zero Silicone, Caulk, or soap scum. TSP, and their tile etch is key! This is not an easy project in my opinion, and next time I would hire a re-glazer.. But if you are determined to save hundreds over the price of a reglazer - this will work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time. Product had limited coverage and was very runny. End product was very grainy. I will sand and try the roll on product soon. What a waste if time.

Is this a good paint for jacuzzi tubs

Asked by: Cheryl
I wouldn’t recommend this product for large surface area and highly visible. Also the application process is very tricky with any spray paint cans. If you’re planning to do entire jacuzzi tub then you should use another type of paint with HVLP spray gun.

Is this product recommended on an old metal bathtub (enameled cast iron or steel)? thanks for any feedback.

Asked by: Seros
It can be used on any metal surface. The surface needs yo be prepped first by etching it yo allow the paint to bond to the surface. I wouldn't recommend this product based on my experience. I followed the directions to the letter and still ended up with a very uneven finish. The brush on product is easier to work with, however because I had used the spray first I never achieved a good finish. Over a year later I have noticed a significant amount of discolouration patches on my tub from bath products (shampoo, shower gel etc) These are impossible to remove regardless of cleaning products used. Overall I'm unimpressed with this product, but if you are going to use it I would suggest the paint on version.

Is this water proof paint? I need to use on the inside of a bathtub

Asked by: SteveO
You need to follow the instructions very carefully. I also used a primer underneath the tub and tile to help with adhesion. Primer was good for tile! Not just any regular primer. The drying and curing time is key and if you do everything the way it says it is water proof ! I used silicone caulking to finish off all the edges to help with waterproofing.  There are certain cleaners you can’t use like bleach.. keep note of those— it’s all on the back of the box !

Hi Lesley, Unfortunately, our Tub & Tile Aerosol was not designed for metal surfaces like your cast iron bathtub.
